Synopsis

Plot

Rumours of a lost city, its treasures and artefacts, have brought you to the legendary Barren Desert. After a frustrating day searching, a common occurrence for any archaeologist, you find that you have lost your way. With your car low on petrol you coast to a stop and check your maps, nothing appears familiar, then the car's engine splutters and dies.

Notes

For this game to work on a hard drive all of the game's files must be placed in a directory of the C: partition. (Or if using DOSBox, or similar, then whichever partition the game is in must be mounted as the C: partition.)

The left and right taillights of the car are non-obvious objects that are not mentioned in any previous description in the game. This is unfortunate as knowledge of the left taillight is necessary for the completion of the game. It is possible that some documentation within the game's box mentions the left taillight and that this is an anti-piracy measure (akin to most Infocom adventures), but this is speculation.

A bug within the game may sometimes prevent the mention of an object in the "Display Area" but a player can still obtain the object with "get all".
