Synopsis

Plot

You are searching for the lost city of the Toggalids, which has fallen under the control of an evil wizard. Your task is to locate a huge ruby within the city.

Notes

The game features a simple, randomized combat system.

Both the cover and the instructions credit the design of the game to Don Thomasson, who was incidentally the editor for Computing Today. It is unclear whether the coding was also his, or else done in-house by Dorling Kindersley staff.

The game was also announced and advertised for the C64 and Dragon 32, but doesn't appear to have been released on these platforms.

Small quest-type game. Not trivial, as some puzzles require a bit of preparation, but not difficult either. The parser and vocabulary are rather poor. Has a combat system in (mostly) fixed locations, but it doesn't add anything to the adventure, it's just in the way. The geography is made a bit obnoxious on purpose. Not really memorable.
