This is my first BBC adventure. I came across it in CASA and as I love all things dinosaur decided to give it a go. It's a sweet little text only adventure, very short and quick work for an experienced player. I did enjoy the real time element where you have to press space quickly when a dinosaur appears (accompanied by very cute pictures.....so maybe it could claim to be a graphics adventure after all.
The simple premise is that you must leave your cave, find the gem and take it to the village. It's a very simple map, only 16 locations in a perfect block (very unusual!).
It a bit of fun if you have a spare half an hour, but more the sort of game I'd like my son to play when he's a bit older (maybe it was aimed at kids?).
Parser/Vocabulary (Rating: 6/10)
Simple and effective.
Atmosphere (Rating: 6/10)
The dinosaurs popping up helps this a little, otherwise it's a bit dry.
Cruelty (Rating: Polite)
Be quick on the space bar and watch out for the tiger!!!
Puzzles (Rating: 5/10)
Very simple and not many of them.
Overall (Rating: 6/10)
A short diversion, worth considering to start your kiddies in adventuring!
