MAP making utilities

#1 Post by impomatic »

Hi,

I was just wondering which utility everyone is using to make the maps on here? I have a few hand-drawn maps I'd like to tidy up and submit.

Thanks,

John

Hi,

l use trizbort by Erwin Genstein in combination with Adobe Photoshop. The latest version is from 2011. It has some shortcomings, but that's why I use Photoshop to make a few alterations to the map which can't be done inside the program. It also has a little bug, but nothing serious.

I still use the copy of DrawPlus that I've owned for donkey's years.

Thanks, I'll try Trizbort for my next map. It's got to be better than using OpenOffice Calc! :D

Does anyone know of a mapping tool to create maps from an import of a csv containing something along the lines of the below?

Code: Select all

Loc Description N S E W U D NE SE SW NW
1 Cave 0 2 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
2 Cavern 1 3 0 5 0 0 7 0 0 0
3 Grotto 2 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
Thanks in advance.
