Even if the whole rest remains cryptic, this alone returns a list of only four games on CASA. Would be easy enough to guess from there if anyone were still playing.
I got a bit obsessed that it was the same date you posted the picture. I was trying to think of games with "Today" or "Present" in the title. (Sadly there aren't any called "Today's Apathetic Cavern", or "Ford's Uncaring Present" or something like that.)
I've
finally wised up that the exact date doesn't matter. It's the fact that it
is a date. A "Blind Date".
Of course that's correct
Here are the current standings:
1. Alex - 10 points
2. Gunness - 8 points
3. Shornet - 7 points
4. Impomatic - 5 points
5. Eriorg - 3 points
6. Mr Creosote - 2 point
7. Alastair - 1 point
Dave - 1 point
pippa - 1 point
With this, I will retire from this game. Thank you all, it's been fun!

Oh... Sorry you're pulling out. Hope it's not forever.
But anyway, here's my clue:

Thanks for your work, Hannes!
Since there's no Third Man game in the database, I was thinking that
Shade (ie. a shade of green)
might fit the bill?

No. But it's a great guess.
And you're on the right track thinking about The Third Man.

No. I didn't even know there was such a game. That's weird. But it doesn't explain the other aspects of my picture, such as the green border.

OK... A few more clues...
The image was a Spectrum screenshot as blatant hint that this is a Spectrum game.
The Third Man is only a very indirect clue to part of the title.
I used one of the words from the title in the post above.

No, but you're very close.
Another hint: Think of the Third Man's full name. How might you describe someone like him? How could you describe someone else who was more like him?

Ah... so...
Green Death (as Mr. Lime is very much dead - or at least is supposed to be!)

No. Getting colder.
Another hint: His full name's Harry Lime, so someone who's a bit like him could be described as Harry-ish. So someone who's more like him (but not the Harry-est) would be...?

Ok, so... my tasks are usually too easy. I've tried to make this one a bit trickier - let's see if I succeeded!
