Alex, sorry, but how can you post two pictures of cats (because, yes, I recognised the Thundercats guy) and then say "the cat is not important"???

Because it is not always the first thing that meets the eye which is the most important. Sometimes looking at the whole of a picture can give a totally different point of view.

Well the quiz is called "Adventure challenge" and not the "Learn how to spell an adventure title" right? :D

Some more explanation to get it all cleared up:
-Well I thought most people would know inspector Gadget and recognize Dr. Claw in the first picture.
-I understood the second picture would be more difficult because not everyone is familiar with the Thundercats (although I guess you’re missing something out if you are unknown to Mumm-Ra the everliving  ). If you did recognize Lion-o,looking at a picture of him, you would learn he always wears the claw shield.
-In the case you didn't recognize Lion-O, I added a third hint about an ifrit. I was sure almost nobody would know what an ifrit is, but gladly today we have internet and one can learn fast:). Nowadays they are normally depicted with claws.
-The picture of clue three is an indian with claws around his neck.
-The chess ending is called a “draw” which rhymes to claw
-If you look up the Christmas song in Google, you would learn it is from the Nightmare before Christmas and that the song is called "kidnap the sandy CLAWS".
-If you look up claw in the database you’ll only find two titles.

The rest I guess has already been explained

So yes we have a winner!!!

 Actually, because you told it wasn't going to be easy I was searching a far more complex solution at first. Al three pictures could be representing a Celtic symbol, but there wasn't any title in the database which could be used for that explanation.

Well I didn't expect it to be me my turn so soon again. Give me some time. I'll think of something.

Sorry Hannes, it's not Evil Ridge. Better luck next time. Jacob is right again. Well done!!(although I get the suspicion he can see which is the latest game I looked up in the database  )

A short explanation for the ones who were still guessing:

-The first picture is a BRIDGE.
-If you enter poke 1024,0 on a c64 you get the symbol @ (AT) in the top left corner.
-If you look up the names from the diagram in Google, you'll find it are members of the doom metal band TROUBLE.
-Another name for a 100 pound note is TON.

The hint means you have four words which form together three words TROUBLE AT BRIDGE+TON.

To be pedantic, a hundred anything is a ton. E.g., doing a ton on the motorway (not that I would ever dream of exceeding the speed limit - just in case GCHQ is listening  ).

It's even worse! I have a confession to make
I searched in our database from the CASA front page and sorted the results alphabetically
I know it was wrong, and I won't do it again until next time.

Nah.... Bridge and Trouble were really helpful. My C64 coding skills must be getting rusty, because I was sure that 1024 was a reference to a ton (1000).
But on the other hand I learnt that a ton meant 100 - I must be too wrapped up in the metric system!

I'll have to think of something really devious. Stay tuned!
