There used to be a site called the Scott Adams IBM PC Archive where you could download an incomplete PC DOS version of X-Men, this site has disappeared.
There are no graphics in this version, because the graphics were never created, and I'm not sure how much of the adventure can be completed. Does anyone know if the game can be completed, and if there is another site where you can legitimately download the game (I could upload the copy I have, but I don't have the permission of Scott Adams)?

I can see that several of us have been updating
our entry for X-Men
Excellent - it's always interesting to learn more.
Does anyone know how much merit there was to the claim that a whopping 12 games were planned? It seemed quite ambitious. Were any additional titles announced?

It seems a legitimate claim, read the third paragraph in the yellow box on this page from

Right. But then, there's planning, and there's...planning. On one hand, 12 games were supposedly planned, and on the other there's the linked text that mention that a handful of characters are "likely to star". Incidentally the mentioned characters are the only ones ever to materialize, and I can't recall ever hearing anything about what games 5 thru 12 might be about. So I'm just wondering if 12 was announced as a nice, large figure.

It's possible that a contract was signed for 12 comics/games, which then fell through, I know some of the comics were written (I've seen an electronic reprint of the X-Men one).
We could of course just ask Scott Adams, he's generally friendly (if he can remember the details).

Wow, he's fast

the titles, writing the plot outlines etc. It was a lot of fun. For the
record I was not sure myself what each title was going to be until I started
