some tech support please

#1 Post by terri »

Having finished Aftermath (with Alex's help) I have run into some problems.

I get a boot error and/or it tells me I need to check my ROMS. I do not think they have changed.

It may have something to do with my anti-virus software.

Because of other problems I had to do a System Restore.

I uninstalled the atari.exe file. Then I deleted all the files with the exception of the .rom files. I recall that before I had some difficulties with the .ROM files also, but these have not changed. I do not have the atari5200.rom files in the Atari folder, but I didn't have them before, and didn't have problems before. Can someone walk me through these again?

Although I uninstall, heaven knowns how many version of this are embedded somewhere.

Thanks everyone.

Between the talk about QA and Opera House there is some help on getting an Atari emulator to work in the thread http://www.solutionarchive.com/phpBB3/v ... ?f=3&t=254

Thanks, Alastair.

I checked and I have all those ROMS there.

The atari cartridge image is missing, though.

And now I can'r remember what game I was trying to play.

OK - I did this yet once again. And I still get the same message.

I also have a few other screwups going on so I will call my tech guy and see if he can help. I'm a leery of going into the registry and meddling in this myself.

Thanks anyway.
