OK - I've done a little more. I now have the capsule, papers and skeleton. Opened the hatch and found a tiny hole. Found a spool of cable.

How do I get the robot to move? I haven't found the computer, so I suppose I need to get in the room with the key slot. How to use the access code?

Thanks

The access code isn't used with the key slot. Did jou examine the briefcase to find another object?

Insert the capsule into the tiny hole to move the robot.

My short-term memory must be going. I'm sure I tried that. But then maybe I didn't.

OK I did that. But I still don't know how to activate the robot. The keyboard doesn't respond. You cannot move the spool by yourself. Does one need to power the generator?

If you insert the capsule into the tiny hole, you become the robot (When you look inside the mirror you see a robot). Being the robot you can lift the spool and another object which you need to activate the generator. Examine everything in this section to find it. The keyboard only responds after you've powered the generator.

I think I have powered the generator. Does is matter if the cell is not in the same room? Hence the long cable? But I don't know how to turn it on.

Since it's a solar cell, do I need to bring it out to the sunlight?

Yes, you have to take it outside to an open space.

I tried that, but it didn't work. How far out into "open space"? I dropped it onto the paved road, but I suppose I should have tried the vacant lot.

We'll see if that works. Yes, it did.

Thanks Alex. Do you want to write up the solution? Or shall I? I can write some hints if you do the solution, or a map?

That's ok, I'm always happy to help if I can and if I have some spare time :) . The solution I already wrote several days ago, but you could make a map if you like. My maps are normally made in pencil and not fit for publication on the internet.

No, I can't make a map. Mine are done in pencil too.

So, if you pm me your solution, I'll write some hints.
