transylvania

#1 Post by df »

Anyone know the differences, if any between the two C64 versions of Transylvania (1984 and 1985 variations). I know the company did a name change but I wonder if they did any bug fixing or changed anything else in the game. I only know of the moved cross but I wonder if anything else is changed.

I don't know about the C64 version, but on other platforms, the latter release was expanded with more puzzles, more locations and an improved parser.

In 1985 the game was rewritten in the Comprehend system and extra puzzles added. This applies to other platforms as well as for the C64.

what were the extra puzzles? I dont recall noticing them but it was some time ago when I played both. All I remember is they moved the location of the cross.

My memory is very hazy on this, but I think the extra puzzles include the addition of the dark room and needing a tool to open a coffin.
