The Brew - C64

Anyone played this adventure for the C64?:

http://www.gamebase64.com/game.php?id=1109&d=18&h=0

I have all the ingredients the witch says are necessary for the flying spell (oak leaf, a resin drop that resembles a tear and a truffle) , but when I try to do it as she says:

EAT LEAF OF OAK AND DROP OF TEAR A HEAD OF TRUFFEL AND YOU WILL HEAR THE SWEETEST SONG THAT HAS BEEN HEARD AND YOU SAY AIR! I AM A BIRD!

I can't succeed at making it work anywhere so far. Is it a bug or is it that I am not doing it correctly, or at the right location?

I've joined you in playing, but I have not gotten as far as you. I gave the coin to the man (with the hat there). I saw the witch and heard the spell. I have the trunk, limestone, cards, cross, resin and knife. I can make my way up the mountain to see the egg. But need to deal with the eagle. Maybe this is where the spell comes in. But I haven't got the truffle.

I'm not sure if the trunk is like a chest, or the trunk of a tree.

I also don't know what to do at the blacksmith's.

Can you nudge me in the right direction please?

What about the oak leaf? What about the wood disks? All are easily found in the forest.

The eagle can be killed with the spear.
Maybe this is where the spell comes in.
I have tried casting the spell at that location too, but to no avail.
But I haven't got the truffle.
You need to have "Peggy" (a pig) with you in order to find it.
I'm not sure if the trunk is like a chest, or the trunk of a tree.
I think it's of a tree, since you find it in an area where trees have been felled.
I also don't know what to do at the blacksmith's.
Have you found the sugar yet?
Can you nudge me in the right direction please?
Have you entered the king's palace?

I seem to be missing this cross. Where did you find it?

Yes, I got the oak leaf, but not the wood disks. And they are where?
The eagle can be killed with the spear.
Which you make with the knife and the trunk?
You need to have "Peggy" (a pig) with you in order to find it.
Haven't found the pig yet. Yup, pigs dig up truffles, so they say.
Have you found the sugar yet?
I've looked but I can't find it. I tried in the red house, but it's not there.
Have you entered the king's palace?
I thought about that. How does one do that?

It's at the man with the garbage. He gives it to you when you give him the coin and listen to him. But I have no idea what it can do?

Juan, I think this was supposed to be a children's game, no? A tad difficult for kids, wouldn't you say?

You have to use the spell at the chasm, but not on yourself. But first you have to make something else to take everything with you.

OK - I got the sugar and dealt with the horse.

But that's it.

Have to get past the guards, don't know what to do at many places. Haven't got the disks.

I presume one needs money to get new trousers and shoes.

Looks like I am stuck.

Would appreciate some help, please and thank you.

examine wood-piles to find disks.

the king gives you money to buy trousers and shoes. I don't know yet if you need the trousers buy you do need the shoes (I only last week managed to pass the chasm and am still trying to solve the game myself).

you need the knife to enter the palace

I am sure I examined the wood-piles. Maybe it's the dash in between the words. But what does that get me? What are the discs for?

I figured I would get coins elsewhere. But that still does not get me past the guards.

to enter palace:
ATTACK GUARDS WITH KNIFE

about the disks. Guess:
-You have four ROUND disks
-You have a trunk (which is NOT a tree)
-and you have to make something to drag your things along the game
-you need some other things, I guess you allready found at the blacksmith, to make it.

Ill hope this will help you to figure it out.

If you'll get past the swamp please lett me know because I'm stuck there.

No, the king will give it to you alongside other items.

Yes, I remember now, when you give it to the king it disappears from your inventory, that's why I couldn't find it anymore.
Juan, I think this was supposed to be a children's game, no? A tad difficult for kids, wouldn't you say?
I don't think it's supposed to be a children's game, despite its "fairy tale" feel. Some parts are pretty hard to figure out.

Does it matter what color? There's three pairs of it at the shoe shop.
you need the knife to enter the palace
You actually don't. Just "Attack guards" and you are taken in.

I have tried to build the cart but so far with no success. I have the following items that I think might potentially be used in its construction:

The wood disks
Hammer
Nails
Steelrod
Trunk
Horse
Knife

Is there something missing? If not, then I am probably not entering the right commands or in the right sequence. "Build cart" does not seem to work. "Nail" or "fix" wood disks to trunk does not seem to work either.

To make the cart:

If you've got the hammer and the nails go to the place with the trunk then:
EXAMINE WOOD-PILES, GET DISKS, GET TRUNK, MAKE CART, FIX DISKS TO BOX, TIE HORSE TO CART.

You can now carry more things by typing:
PUT object INTO CART. If you want to use the object you have to take it again.

I'm hopelessly stuck myself at the moment. I made it across the chasm, retreived an object from the swamp, got the luck seed, found a way to warm the egg even better and found a way to obtain a raft for free without losing Peggy. The problem is I think I have to use the raft but there seems to be no way out of the village apart from the one you came from.

I have the following objects:
trousers
shirt
shoes
blue shoes
silk trousers
hammer
matches
peggy
spear
horse
cards
limestone
steelrod
knife
egg
barley
oats
ever-warming-cloth
raft
pole
lucky seed
rope

If one of you find out what to do after you obtain the raft please let me know.
