Forbidden Quest 1983

#1 Post by westhamboyjay »

Hello everybody.

I was just wondering if anybody knew the complete walkthrough for the classic 1983 game 'Forbidden Quest'?

I was trawling through some old stuff and found the game which came free with my very first Atari ST (No Atari though), I remembered how good this was do decided to download it from internet, got playing and also got nowhere!!!

Got a bit frustrated after 2 weeks and cannot find the walkthrough anywhere on the good old World Wide Web.

Can anyone help, thanks Jamie.....

Hi Jamie,
maybe I'm just a bit confused here, but as far as I know the ST wasn't launched until 1985. Was the game released for another platform in 1983? Do you have a link to a site where we can find it?

Available for the PC in 1983, and the Atari ST in 1985. Home of the Underdogs has it.

Sam.

I have the art prints for this game if they're needed. I have sent them here but they are not up yet. They are needed to complete the game though.

I gave HOTU the copy for the IBM PC since it's extremely rare. Glad to see someone is playing this one!!!

After your submission I was about to try it out on DOSBox, then discovered I'd already downloaded it at some point earlier, so I added a quick screenshot. The cards'll be useful. (I assume you're William Pryor, credited as an author on Moby Games?)

As to what we host, we're going to have to wait for Gunness to make a decision on that - it's his site and we try and host a minimum amount of games (to minimise the storage and bandwidth usage); normally just ones that have been fixed so that they can be solved.

Hi Will & the rest,
sorry about the delay in getting the art prints up. We have quite a lot of submitted material in our queue at the moment. But I've added it now. Enjoy it, everybody!
