chalice of mostania (apple)

#1 Post by terri »

I am trying to play this game. It is a 4-disk game. Hints, and other stuff is available.

However despite this help I am unable to load this game. Can someone help me out? I tried booting dsk.1 and then dsk.2 but, despite waiting, nothing happens. As well as various combinations with the other disks.

What am I doing wrong? Disk 4 is for saving (so they say).

Thanks in advance.

At this point, please do not worry about helping me out. I have managed to find disks that do not have this problem, and I have opened the game. I will post questions as the need arises. I do hope it is the same game????

If anyone wishes to join in, please feel welcome. There are hints out there, but not a solution.

I played this one a while back. I stopped playing it when I was around a mountain, if I remember correctly. Maybe I'll retake it where I left off.

Thanks for saying so. I wondered whether it was only I who was having this problem. You are mellow. Me, I get annoyed.

Anyways, since I didn't save ths site I looked again. These disks are playable. I believe they are at the following link.

http://www.cheatdaddy.com/FBrowse.aspx? ... %3bkey%3d0.

If you can't find them there, I don't quite know how to send them to you. Let's see what happens. Let me know if you are successful.

I just tried to follow the link I sent. I believe this is the playable game.

Gotta do a reasonably amount of mapping here.

I am stuck in part 2 (so to speak - I mean I am now on dsk.2).

Following along the hints available:
I've done the riddle
I've deal with the goblin
I've gotten up the hill
I've gotten beyond the mountain
I've navigated the dark tunnel
I've dealt with the skeleton (though I don't know what object I had - unlock chains worked)
I've gotten past the dead end.

I'm at the Korgi King. The hints say to exchange (but that verb doesn't work; so I did GIVE but nothing I have works.

Maybe I missed something. There is an eventual limit to the things you can carry. Sounds like most of the weapons may be read herrings, but I don't know.

Any help from anyone? Please?

Perhaps Terri is referring to the hints found here:

I have an idea, though I haven't tried it yet. What about if the Korgi king would like what was left after you dispatched the goblin?

I'll get to it after I shovel.

Well, I THOUGHT I'd killed the goblin, but I only fed him, and if you go back he's still hungry.

Anyone have any better ideas?

I don't know if the problem of the Korgi King has been solved yet but for the case it hasn't to get rid of the Korgi King you've to type THROW MACE. The goblin will let you take the mace after you give him the carcass. I've uploaded a walkthrough.
