There are five t?mt?m trees, three walls, and thirteen clearings. The east, south, and west exits for the clearing south of temtem tree return you to the same clearing, all other exits for all other clearings take you to another location. For the vorpal sword see below.

None whatsoever.

"So rested he by the Tumtum tree"
The game doesn't recognize "wait" or "rest".
I thought the same, but no, you do not rest at the tumtum tree, however this is where you will find the vorpal sword.

Alastair, thanks for asking. I simply haven't had any time for games during the last week, and the next one is pretty hopeless, too. Hope to be able to finish it soon.

I finally found some time to have another go at this - I had missed an exit in the northerly part of the map, which led to eight new locations.

I've disposed of the bandersnatch by using the four v?rpal sword, thus gaining the vorpal sword. This, as you state, scares off the jabberwocky.

But what next? I've entered the lair and read some runes that are either a graphics bug or, with a dash of imagination and a display of good will, could resemble an o, a, r and u on a bad day. I thought this might refer to the swords.
Furthermore, I've tried hitting, banging, waving, playing etc. the tomtom and the tamtam, but the limited vocabulary is starting to wear me down.

If I read the poem correctly, the vorpal sword is meant to behead the jabberwocky, but I don't know where it is hiding.

I think I'm on a totally wrong wavelength here?

You are on the right path, the runes will make sense in the fourth part so make sure to copy them down correctly. I'll have to check up the correct verb for the tomtom and tamtam, but I think it's bash, you also need to be standing next to the correct tree for the Jabberwock's lair to be revealed.

"beat" was the right word - now the Jabberwock is dead and I've transformed my lupins. I can't find any more puzzles?

Interestingly, you can just TAKE the Jabberwock, which will show up in your inventory as a "J" :)

Go back to the bandersnatch lair and use the tamtam one last time. Then get ready to save often, as most puzzles won't be apparent until after the game kills you.

For some reason I never thought of that...

Thanks for leading me on - somehow, the end to part 3 didn't seem blatantly obvious :)
