An Amstrad game.

I think it may be a GAC-written game.

I think I am about 1/2 way through. CLIMC LADDER is used very frequently.

I have only one of the tree objects so far.

Any takers?

This game comes in two parts -

I can load part 1 to find out what to do.

It tells you to load part 2...

But when I get to load it there is no 'name'

so I can't play along.

Not unless you send me via email the part two as a .dsk...

When I unzipped the file both disks were there.

So I put both in Caprice, and loaded the second disk when it asked me to.

I'm not sure what you mean by "no name". The game just loaded for me.

I'll send you the start position if that's what you need.

How did you get past the broken bridge? Jumping only gets you killed and the ladder seems to be to short.

Never mind, I think I found out a way, though I am not sure if it will take you to the other side yet.

"What is it that gives Neptune his power."

??? The sea, ocean, waves, sun, water, trident, etc. but saying any of these things apparently doesn't work.

Just a thought, what if you bring one of the objects there?

Still can't get this game to load...

When I unzip the game it shows iceguar1.dsk & iceguar2.dsk

So I load in iceguar1.dsk and it tells me the story line etc then tells me to press F3 and load iceguard2.dsk.

But when I press F3 this is the button I press for 'SAVE' snapshot.

If I just try to load iceguar2.dsk - then type in CAT there is not a name to load.

I just get a corrupt message - about it not being a cpc .dsk...

So if its possible can anyone send ice2.dsk

cheers

OK, I've given this a try in WinAPE, and it worked perfectly.

- insert first .dsk, autostart

- now you're prompted to insert second .dsk

- use the menu to insert second .dsk and *TURN OFF* autorun. For that, you have to clear the box of the file dialog which pops up.
If you autorun the 2nd disk, you're getting bupkis, or to speak with dave's tongue, "nowt" 8)

Just WAIT. Do not mess around with F6 or whatever the game tells you, because the emulator appears to do that for you

Well it looks like I am not able to play this game.

I downloaded Winape latest version - only to find that It had a virus a Trojan horse!!!

Then I downloaded Caprice - still no luck

Then I tried another Winape version - only to find I had an Ocean game on it. Burnin rubber!! I couldnot get rid of this.

Any way when I tried to load icegaur2.dsk it told me that it was not a valid .dsk

I've come to the conclusion that this game has beaten me.
But thanks for trying to help.

Here's what I did (Caprice)

Under the Disk toolbar:Insert 1.dsk (in A)
cat
run# ice (the @ key converts to the # key in Caprice.
Press any key 3 X. You get the message to insert 2.dsk
Under the Disk toolbar: Insert 2.dsk (in A)
Make sure 2.dsk is in the filename, and click Open
Press F6
Click open again
Press any key

I will send you the first saved game on PM.

I found the easiest way to get the disks into Caprice to "copy" it (i.e. right click), then run caprice, Insert disk and "paste.".

I presume you mean at the crevice. Just "CLIMB LADDER" - limited parser here.
??? The sea, ocean, waves, sun, water, trident, etc. but saying any of these things apparently doesn't work.
TRIDENT worked for me. Don't say "say".

I haven't found the trident though.

Somewhere else you need a password. While I kinda "cheated" to find it, I hope someone can actually find it. But I don't know what to do with that object.

Yes I did, but I also had to look into the program code to get a "legal" way to obtain it.
Imagine a bookshelf which hasn't been "treated" for 2 weeks in an apartment. Now if you "treated" it first time, what would you do then?
:)

(I'm a man living on my own, but since you're a female, you are known to care more for such things to be "kept in order" ;))

[edit] I'm through now. :)
Real nice adventure game; absolutely no bugs! But the extremely limited object count you can carry at the same time really made it difficult.

So BEFORE you find the trident (it's really hard to find, great puzzle! :)) it's a good idea to unlock the door to the throne room and DROP (!!!) the key. Otherwise you might be at the position where the trident is and not be able to carry anything anymore!

As this location is a bit tricky to get to *AND* you must still have the ladder to get out of the pit(s), make sure you are only carrying the guardian's possessions POSS1, POSS2, the ladder and then POSS3 (the trident itself).
