moonshards of sacrimore

#1 Post by terri »

I have returned to this game (available at WOS) after several years. It is a very long game, with many locations, chance and pre-programmed elements. Some things appear to need to be done in order or at least you need some spells in order to do other things.

Anyone interested in playing along?

I am stuck (in one of many places), in the area south of the rope bridge. The wolves appear to stay in the background, until one particular location. In the wolves' den there is a skeleton who is holding a parchment. I think one needs that parchment, but I am attacked by them before I can get it.

Have you tried taking a look at the program itself? You might be able to figure out what to do. Look for text messages with words like "wolves", "skeleton", "parchment", etc. Sometimes you can find easily deducible solutions that way.

OK, try this: locate the game's vocabulary. Examine it carefully. Do you see any command or object that you think might fit the situation where you are stuck? Sometimes I have been able to get out of very "stucky" situations that way.
