landfall on rollus

#1 Post by terri »

I know that I haved posted help on many Spectrum games. This is because I can find them easily. I have looked up other venues, but sometimes it is difficult to separate the arcade games from the text adventure games.

This game is available at WOS. I am unsure whether there is a bug in this game, or whether I am stuck.

Help would be appreciated.

As far as I am aware the game is not bugged.

Where abouts are you stuck?
The one thing I can say is that certain objects/people appear depeding on whether it is night or day.

I have a full solution...

or hints of objects and what to do.

Yes, the random elements are annoying.

I have the lantern, bead, helmet, princess, medallion and am in the mirror room with the helmet whispering "Kraldor".

It's been so long ago that I can't really remember what I did.

Yes, I have a list of objects.

I have a message to myself to go back to an earlier saved game.

So maybe you'd better send me a pm with the solution. Replaying games from the beginning is annoying, but with the randomness, it may be a touch too tedious for me.

Thanks Doreen.

Having replayed the game, I recall what my problem was and why I thought the game was bugged. I cannot find the bag of coins.

Can you tell me where they are?

Sorry but did I miss the coins on my list I sent you.

Anyway the flute is needed, from the medallion location go w and north to the path - you must WAIT for night the flower must be shut and voice heard. then PLAY FLUTE

Hope that makes sense...

Yes, my mistake. I knew where the coins where, just not how to get them. Your list of objects and locations helped.

I am plugging along. Next is to tackle the maze, the the cage, and the cloth.

Does it matter that Boras/Boris is dead?

You need Baras the dwarf to open the slab in the cellar he needs the iron bar.

Other that that puzzle I don't think it matters if he is dead.

All done. I'll write up the solution from both of us.

Most challenging thing in this game I think, is what to say (what the helmet says) where.
