golden sword of Bhakhor

All in all this game has three parts. It has a certain amount of charm, despite the lukewarm reviews.

Available at WOS.

I am stuck in Part 1. You can't play the other parts independently as they require passwords.

There are limited locations in Part 1, so it is not overly tedious to play after you have mapped out the area.

Following the links at WOS when you click on the game, hints are available for the very beginning, but after that...?

I have thrown the pepper in the preceptor's office, but don't know what to do with the key.

Any takers to play along?

buy wineskin from the inn - give it to the sentry.

you can also do some begging to gain moe money.

You will get your stolen bag of money back later.

Stolen bag of money?

This hasn't happened yet. I got two coins. The headband that was stolen is back at the lodgings, so I presume I will find the bag (when it is stolen) there? Assuming that I need it. Do I?

But then what?

what i have done -

exam alcove to see beggar - wear headband - get bag - examine bag (25 coins) - the go s - s - e where you are robbed.

so do the begging to get 2 coins buy spice then get the key.
Buy the wineskin and give it to sentry. wait till he falls asleep then go west to get uniform.

find the sword - retrieve the stolen bag of coins - examine some shadow to see a girl - buy box - open box read the scroll for 5 words.- now find the words.

should be at end of pt. 1

Sorry for now getting back to you on this...

Ok I have replayed this game.

The starting position is random as you may know.

Find the alcove and the beggar (down the w. way)

EXAM EYES - CLOSE EYES (you will find the bag of coins)

this should get you going.

Thanks Doreen.

I now have the bag.

I have not been able to find the girl and the box. As I wander around, I lose coins.

There is a room where one hears a conversation but I don't know what to do there. Should I wait?

I found the girl in the market just north of where the spice was.

Examine shadows...

How does one go about finding the precepts? The hint says to "look around". Is that what one does? At all the locations?

I presume you have now read the scroll...
Which all I have in my notes is that you 'learn of 5 places for words to open the hall of knowledge'

So from the girl loc go - S - S - W - S - X ARCH (see words) - there are words also at the east gate, west gate, south gate, and in the barracks with the crest.
The head to the arch and hall of knowledge where you should finish p.1

Sorry to be such a pest, Doreen, asking every step of the way.

I had read all those "precepts" (at least at the arch and the three gates). There is one at the barracks with the sentry to whom you gave the wine, but I don't see any crest there.

Anyway, the doors are still closed at the Hall of Knowledge.

There is another part of the barracks -

from the south gate go N - N - N - N - E - There should be a wall of carvings.

Yes, I have seen those. But no verb I try does anything.

OK - I was focusing on the carving not the wall. Aaargh.

Now I am in Part 2.

Be prepared for more questions.

I have spent some time mapping this.

I have some mud. I see a bat. I need to get close enough to catch it. Don't know what to do here.

Also where do you use the mud? How do you use the mud? I have found some verbs, but...
