I ported the game Warlord, published by Argus Specialist Publications, to Inform 6 using the PunyInform Library. I fixed bugs, inconsistencies, and blocking situations.
The game code in Basic is simple, yet the adaptation proves complex, as is often the case with the Inform6 dedicated libraries!

Porting Warlord (Argus Specialist Publications) to Inform 6

Re: Porting Warlord (Argus Specialist Publications) to Inform 6
There is something amusing about the inventory. It seems to be limited to four items; if you try to take a fifth, it responds: ‘I can't carry that much!’ and does not take the item. If you insist and try again to take a fifth, it accepts it and displays: 'My back is hurting.' If you try to take a sixth, it says: ’You have broken my back.', and you die. So it is possible to carry five items, not four!

That's original...and amusing.

It's not easy to implement with PunyInform. In any case, the solution I've implemented is quite cumbersome. I'll think about this issue again one of these days.

Reading Dorothy Millard's walkthrough for Paul Price's Giant's Gold, it seems that this is the same game as Warlord.
In his walkthrough, Garry wonders why the game is called Warlord: probably an arbitrary title to hide the fact that it is simply plagiarism. I haven't compared the source codes.

Good spot. Yep, looking at the listings, Warlord is a version of Giant's Gold.

No credit listed in Games Computing, so potentially Paul Price could still have been the one who also submitted it there.

I thought that publishing the source code listing was remunerated; if that is the case, he must have known the author's name.
