Ian Watt question

#1 Post by jdyer »

I have a straightforward "where did this info come from" question. The game Crypt of Gabon is listed both on CASA and the BBC Games Archive as by Ian Watt.

https://www.solutionarchive.com/game/id ... C+The.html

The book in question (GAMES BBC COMPUTERS PLAY) mentions Ian Watt in the "general credits" as people who wrote programs...

...but it doesn't have his name attached to the adventure itself in the book. Is there some other source to absolutely confirm that Ian Watt goes with that particular game? Is it mentioned in the other book the game is printed in, perhaps? (GAMES ELECTRON COMPUTERS PLAY) I don't have a copy of that one.

To quote from page 8 of Games BBC Computers Play (https://archive.org/details/timhartnell ... ew=theater):

"In this ADVENTURE program, written by Ian Watt, you start outside the crypt."

(JDyer, I can delete this whole thread if you want :) )

Sure, axe it if you want to. I am clearly blind, I scanned back and forth over the text a tonne of times.
