The Great Peepingham Train Robbery
Hi everyone,
I am hopelessly stuck on this game. I'm in Peepingham, I've given the tramp the cooked sausages but don't know what to do with him now. I can't find any fuel for the boat, and I think there's probably some sort of wetsuit somewhere to allow me to enter the Lake. I've got the cheese out of the dustbin, I've already been to the warehouse and into the railway tunnel... What do I do with the ice I have made in the butcher's cold room? I've completed about 54%.
Any help you can give me would be hugely appreciated!

I too am stuck in the game. But I can't even find my notes on this.
I haven't yet made the ice yet (that I can recall). I have with me the crash helmet the peg the lantern the money the bottle. Blunders has the bed pan and the duffel coat.
I may have given the sausages.
So we will both need some help and I will have to start all over again.

Hi Terri,
To make the ice, take the dustcan from the alley to the Lake and fill it with water. Then take it to the cold room in the butchers shop (wear the duffle coat!) and empty the can. It turns into ice. No idea what you use it for though...
The old tramp says he's now willing to show me around the island, but I don't know how to get there... If I could get hold of a wetsuit I might be able to swim across... otherwise I'll need some fuel for that boat, but I don't know where to find it...
Any help anyone?!

Thank you la-woman, for your directions about how to make ice, and Doreen for your hints about where objects are needed.
I have started all over again. The randomness of events does get to me at times.
How many "days" does this game take to complete? I am on Tuesday (having only been able to get the duffel coat then). But should I drop the can with water on Monday? So I don't know yet what will happen once I get Sam to drop the notebook.
So I will try this way, and see if it gets me further. Cooking the sausages for the tramp - does this depend on where you give him that? I tried by the butcher's and all he did was wander around.
Interesting game. As good as the first Professor Mundle game, but not as easy to solve.
Amby hates mazes and I hate randomness.
Any thoughts?

Tha's great - thank you so much for your help... one final question though: where do I find the fuel?! I've called the number on the notepad, but nothing has appeared at the jetty...
In answer to your question Terri, I don't think that the time you do things has any significance other than that you get mugged at night if you sleep anywhere but the the Dirty Duck (with a locked door!), that the shops etc close at 5.30 and open at 9, and that perhaps you have to have solved it by midnight on Sunday (the time limit Sam seems to talk about). Hope this helps!

Hi,
As far as I can see the fuel is in the garage - you need you get the stationmaster to the garage (or tell him to go there) - if the stationmaster has been given the crowbar he will lever the planks allowing you to go west and then fill can.
Hope this helps...
Doreen

Following Doreen's hint to sleep with the crash helmet, I am finally done. While a very challenging game, the random elements really get to me and it becomes tedious after a while.
I will write up the solution (such as it is), crediting it to Doreen, La Woman, and me, in that order.
With maybe some additional hints, like where to drop the money (just to make things easier - ha), and how to get some other objects.
Thank you both.
