Available on WOS

There are random elements here. Anyone want to play?

Here is what I have done so far:

You are faced with a riddle (Six large books bound with leather; all very heavy yet light as a feather; how many words do they contain; minus those that do not remain?)

You are Sturnfllight. SAY "HELP" TO GOBLIN (answer is 33), SAY "HELP" TO GOBLIN (he takes a parcel from a drawer and hands it to you), EXAMINE PARCEL (the Fimbo's), EXAMINE GOBLIN (thirsty), SAY TO GOBLIN "TELL ME ABOUT YOURS" (His name is Gob. He liven in Chimen, near the Ach Mountains; after Barleyfoot was knocked off, things got worse, and a Mardrid invasion was feared. A dwarven loard named Elgo Norwich and he were the only survivors. They travelled over black mountains. Elgo was slain by trolls. He arrived to this place), LOOK (there is a door to the east), E, EXAMINE WINDOW (obscured by dust), EXAMINE PUDDLE (from a crevasse below), S (you see a sack and a picture of Horsey), EXAMINE PICTURE (from Gobishabann Nollow).

TAKE SACK, EXAMINE SACK, LOOK IN SACK (nothing), N, E, S, TAKE FLASK, EXAMINE FLASK, WAIT (until a body becomes lodged in the reeds), EXAMINE BODY (you hear the story of the lumberjacks), W, EXAMINE WHEEL (a sword is wedged), EXAMINE SWORD (there is writing on it), N (you see stairs and a chute), CLIMB UP CHUTE (you see a lever), PULL LEVER, DOWN CHUTE, S, PULL SWORD, READ WRITING ON SWORD (you can't), E, E (you see a well and a bucket), EXAMINE BUCKET (it contains a fish), TAKE FISH OUT OF BUCKET, EXAMINE FISH (you see a note), READ NOTE (not a red herring), WIND WINCH ANTICLOCKWISE, WIND WINCH CLOCKWISE, TAKE BILLBOARD FROM BUCKET (it falls to the ground), WEAR BILLBOARD, W, N, E (at the cottage; you see Bill).

Go N, EXAMINE BILL, SAY TO BILL "TELL ME ABOUT YOURS" (he used to be a wizard, but Amithax the dragon cursed him), EXAMINE FRAME (you see a package), PUT ALL IN SACK, DROP SACK, TAKE PACKAGE FROM FRAME, OPEN PACKAGE (you get a village pass and Bill's will), SAY TO BILL "FOLLOW ME", S, W, S (wait till the body lodges), SAY TO BILL "FOLLOW ME", CLIMB ON BODY (Bill follows), W, EXAMINE OGRE (Bill insults the ogre), TAKE ROPE, E, WAIT (until body lodges), SAY TO BILL "FOLLOW ME", CLIMB ON BODY (Bill follows), EXAMINE ROPE, GIVE ROPE TO BILL (you get a coin), N, E, N, (you see Bill hanging), EXAMINE COIN, DROP WILL, TAKE PARCEL FROM SACK, OPEN PARCEL, EXAMINE PLAQUE, DROP PLAQUE, TAKE SACK, TAKE SWORD FROM SACK, S, W, S, NE, N (kill Harlequin and you get points).

EXAMINE BUILDING, ENTER BUILDING, HIT BUILDING WITH SWORD (it falls on Harlequin), S, S, SW, N, E, E (you see two guards), EXAMINE GUARDS (no weapons allowed), PUT SWORD IN SACK, E (you need a pass), TAKE PASS FROM SACK, GIVE PASS TO GUARDS, READ SIGN (building unsafe),

I am revisiting this. I am not sure whether giving Bill the rope is a good idea. I wish that there was a score feature on this so that one knew whether one was making progress....

I downloaded this from WOS, it also appears that this game is unfinished
according to the authors.

My copy would not unzip the PC could not unblock the files??

Is it worth going on when there is no ending to this game?

Good question. I don't even know the purpose of the game. There seem to be so many forks and junctures. It's so vague.

I'll probably fiddle with it some more, and maybe something will be clearer, but with no end in sight, I wouldn't want to subject anyone to an unfinished game.
