delivere2: escape to eskelos

#1 Post by terri »

Hi out there.
If anyone is still playing games, I have a challenging one for you. It's available at WoS. It has great logic puzzles. I've managed to figure out the maze. Have quite a few points, but am stuck at opening the vaclock door at the maintenance shaft.

The game was written by Brian Parks and published by him. Does anyone know how to get a hold of him?

It's beginning to drive me crazy.

Have you made any progress? How far are you into the game? Is it too late to join in?

I am still stuck. Of course you can join in. Typing HELP gives Brain Park's address, but do you suppose he is still living in the same place after 15 years.

Enjoy the greek maze. It really is not too difficult if you go from left to right.

Have fun.

I am also stuck at the vaclock door.

I thought that tying the weight to one of the handles whilst pulling the other would be all that would be needed, but no joy. Either something else needs to be done or I have yet to issue the right command.

A note on what I have at the vaclock door

blue serge overall (wearing)
vacsuit
bowl of porridge
note
short length of rope
memo
heavy osmium weight
plastic helmet
helox cylinder
Venusian takeaway meal
portable object-locator
box of vitamin pills
laser pistol

In addition an orbitus is waiting there and I can command the huge workdroid to go up the ladder to the vaclock door.

So, am I missing anything?

You have more objects that I do. I don't have the porridge, the note, the memo, the osmium weight. I guess I figured I didn't really need them. There is a limit to how many objects you can carry, and I didn't go back and retrieve them.

I also have the huge droid with me, but have not been able to find the right commands to get the handles to work even with him there.

Somehow I think you need to use him.

So if you're stuck....

Looks like we both need help.

Regarding carrying objects the trick I use is to drop everything in a "Greek" corridor then let the tidybot carry everything for me.

One minor amusement, though likely a bug in the program and of no use, you can order the huge workdroid to go up through the vaclock door even though the door is closed; you can then use the locator to find out what is on the other side!

I hadn't thought of using the tidybot to pick up my stuff for me. It took long enough for me to figure out the maze, the fact that some objects caused exhaustion more quickly than others, and all the rest rooms, let alone the vocabulary.

Yes, I noticed that too, about the huge droid, but not much good it does us.

So....time for another game? I've a whole raftful, some more boring than others.
