I visit my profile while logged in, and under Personal Settings I fill in "Location" and "Favourite platforms", and click Save.
The fields remain blank and there is apparently no effect.
Editing user profile not working?

Re: Editing user profile not working?
Equinox, I take it you mean editing your profile on the main site (solutionarchive.com) rather than on the forum (solutionarchive.com/phpBB3)?
I've just tried editing my profile on the main site and it allowed me to add (and delete) a "favourite platform" without problem. So you might have faced a temporary glitch, please try again.

Re: Editing user profile not working?
I did mean that. I just tried it again and the page "reloads" suspiciously fast, like no form submission happened at all.Alastair wrote: Tue Jul 28, 2026 10:03 pm Equinox, I take it you mean editing your profile on the main site (solutionarchive.com) rather than on the forum (solutionarchive.com/phpBB3)?

Then I see the empty form again, nothing has changed.
I can provide more diagnostics if you tell me how!
I wonder if it only works if you fill EVERY field? I filled only the two that I mentioned. But there's nothing on screen to warn me about that.
Re: Editing user profile not working?
I'm having the same trouble now. I'll see if I can work out if I did anything different this time round.
Re: Editing user profile not working?
And now it's working again!
Equinox, try the following. Log out, log in to the forum, click on your user name near the top right and choose "Profile", beside where it says "Username: Equinox" click on "Edit profile" (I'm assuming everyone has this option and it's not admin only), ignore that page and open a new tab for the main site. On the main site you should automatically be logged in (since you are logged in to the forum), now click on your user name on the main site and see if you can now edit your profile.

Re: Editing user profile not working?
still ain't working.
although I did have the pleasure of seeing my CASA forum (not CASA main site) profile, which I had totally forgotten about and which is funny
I also just wrote to Strident telling him that I like his Hallowe'en game and it has two typos.
OK I'm done with this thread, thanks for trying.

Re: Editing user profile not working?
Addendum to what I typed above:
Make sure you are not logged in to CASA, close your browser, restart your browser, log in to the forum, etc.
Of course it would be far better if it just worked.
