Tourist Trouble (Spectrum) solution is wrong

#1 Post by equinox »

Dorothy Millard's solution to Tourist Trouble (ZX Spectrum) is defective:
https://solutionarchive.com/file/id%2C6926/

At this point, it tells you to go UP, but you cannot go that way:
... EXAMINE RING, U (to ledge) ...

Also the ring's inscription is "Faith can move mountains" (not "Fate..." as stated). I have tried the obvious: WEAR RING, PRAY, BELIEVE, etc. with no success.
Anyone know what to do?

You are on the right track. You need to WEAR RING first, but the right words then are SAY AMEN instead of PRAY.

Thanks. The rest of the solution was okay, except in the white marble room you have to GET SWORD (she forgot to mention this) and, in order to GET BOOK at the end, you have to drop something. I dropped the canteen, as this is not an object that affects your score.
