I can't be completely certain, but I don't believe so.

rkowalski, thanks. It's just a line of enquiry, I'm trying to clarify a few things that may or may not be of importance.

Gotcha, it's certainly a puzzle. Near as I remember, I-

Created an account using the registration link on the front page, with my current username, password and email.
Checked that registration went through the first time by attempting to create another account with the same information; as expected this failed and told me that the username and email were in use.
Chatted with Garry on intfiction.

Just to avoid any issues I've updated my account to use a non-Gmail address.

I have another user who can't register. To quote:
Unfortunately, I can't for the life of me sign up to CASA.
I'll try to get more details and send a private message to one of the admins. Isn't there anyone amongst you that can fix this ongoing problem? It's been an issue for well over two years. How many potential contributors have we lost because of this?

EDIT: I just found out that he's been waiting for over a year. Can someone go through the logs and find out how many other potential contributors have been lost due to this farcical situation? It would be nice if you could register them all (unless they're obvious spam accounts) and send an acknowledgement with an explanation and apology for the delay, but DON'T send the acknowledgement via the web site or they'll never receive it. Send it from a personal email account.
