A new adventure in the works

#1 Post by Quantum » Sun Jun 10, 2012 6:44 pm

Hello adventurers!
I am working on my first adventure game.
I will either use Python (a scripting language) or TAB (thinBASIC adventure builder) to do the job.
I'm leaning a little more towards TAB, sinse it is written for the task of writing IF.
I am planning to include graphics, sounds and RPG characteristics. Any advice and/or tips are appreciated.

My advice is not to use a closed format tied to one specific platform. Your target audience will be small enough as it is. No need to arbitrarily cut it down even further.

ThinBasic is not a bad option. Visit their website tab.thinbasic.com for more information, example adventures and forum.
