Oh, now that seems like a definite bug - the same one that was in "Witch Hunt"!
There is no bug using the plastic bag.

If I can put my head in it but not a small note it's a bug.

Either that or ridiculously anti-mimetic. Ang given all the other bugs in the game, I am reminded of the little boy who cried wolf.

I have just worked out how to get past the troll, although I must confess it was more by luck than judgment. I suppose it makes sense.

A game can't include all possible things you could try with an object. If that's a benchmark for saying a game is bugged then almost any text adventure is bugged.

A bug is an error which wasn't meant to be there. This is just something which isn't included in the game because it is not needed.

I disagree. An open bag should be fillable. I have played hundreds of games and rarely seen such shoddiness. Similarly the room with the basin full of water and an open bottle. Fill bottle? No. Take water? Nah. Fill bottle with water? This game contains more head banging than a year's subscription to Kerrang! magazine.

Surely the very fact that you couldn't play the game normally without disecting it like an anatomical specimen (which surely runs counter to the point of the game in the first place) merely proves my point?

For now I have uploaded the walkthrough without taking the treasures to the cottage.
Still no ideas about returning to the cottage?..
Thanks again for the walkthrough :)

I have uploaded the game to Old-Games.ru: https://www.old-games.ru/game/11928.html

Alex, do you mind me adding your "fixed" version to that site?
Unfortunately that "solution 1" does not work for me in DOSBox SVN Daum Debug - "sm 0000 8cf1 1f" does not do anything, and DOSBox-X does not want to read the save disk written in SVN Daum... I tried launching your cqfix.exe and then loading a save, but - still no changes for some reason. Probably you have to play the game from the start on the "fixed" version for the solution to appear?

I've have been solving 7 other games these days :) , but I haven't forgotten about Cornucopia or Catacombcs. I'll keep trying, but for now I did not advance any further.

No problem, you can upload it if you like.

Yes loading a save game does not help because that will overwrite the changes I've made. You will have to play from the start.

Strange the first solution did not work.
