hi my name is Brennen Kinch and i am new to these forums
I am totally blind and love playing text adventures on my iPhone and braille note touch A type of android tablet for blind people
I love texted ventures that are primarily puzzle fests meaning only exploring and collecting objects to solve puzzles not so much of the zombies and the fighting and the other creepy elements those sort of take away from the game for me
I am currently playing Muldoon the legacy version and I’m finding it rather hard to play I’m finding that I’m looking at the solution most of the time instead of playing the game I am playing this on my braille note touch and using the solution so far I’ve gotten to the wax museum but I’m not sure what to do from here
so far I have the blue torch the brick the scrap of paper the museum key The guide from the shop and I think that might be it oh that I’m sure there are some other items that I’m just not remembering right now because I’m not in front of the game but I think I have everything I need to advance to the next thing
if anyone could help me to know what to do to advance to the next step I would be much appreciated thank you

The game in question is The Mulldoon Legacy by Jon Ingold. It's a Z-code game and can be downloaded from all the usual places including the IF Archive. I haven't played it myself, but it's had nothing but rave reviews. It won the Annual IF Comp in 1999. It was previously discussed at this thread, but I don't think anyone got very far. From what I've read, this game is BIG. It's a puzzlefest equal to anything from Infocom. I think Brennen may have trouble because it has ASCII maps and stuff like that, so let's help him out.

Hey Brennan,

Welcome. Don't know if I can be much help. I just make Basic games for an old eight bit computer computer from Tandy/Radio Shack. If you ever have need for a eight bit Basic programmer, I'm your man.

Hi Brennen. How are you going with The Mulldoon Legacy? I see that no one has given you any hints yet, so I loaded it onto my mobile phone and had a bit of a dabble, then had a more serious attempt tonight.

Did you find anything in the long east-west corridor west of the foyer? If not, the brick may help.

As you have the guide, you must have found your way into the museum shop. Did you do anything interesting with the photocopier? Also note that it's on wheels.

Did you find any interesting sculptures in the modern art east wing, other than the hoop-shaped one? If not, try using the hoop. What would Tarzan do?

Now to the waxworks in the history exhibit. The wax man is holding a satchel, but it's attached to his arm. You'll need to detach it. What happens when wax is warmed up? Have you found the object under his sandal? Ah, but how to light it? Have you felt the brick? The thing under his sandal won't stay lit for long. Have you found something else that's flammable?

Finally, have you entered the hut east of the history exhibit? The clairvoyant doesn't say much. She doesn't need to, as she has other powers. If you hang around long enough, you'll get told that, "You don't have to be a mind-reader to think about this one." When you're a little more specific, she says, "First, you must cross my palm with silver." What do you have that's silver? You've already used it once.

When you get past this point, a whole new section of the game opens up to you. Good luck!
