A question for everyone who has recently submitted information to CASA

#1 Post by Alastair » Thu Oct 04, 2018 10:15 pm

I am trying to find out if there is a (minor) bug in how CASA treats submissions by anyone who uses the "Send update" button, which is why I would like anyone who has recently used that button to reply to this thread - otherwise it may be a bug that just affects me, or maybe just those with admin rights, or just a one off occurrence.

As per the title, after submitting your information did you see a screen with the following message?

Invalid input: return_address

I've had that message appear, yes.

Thanks Strident, I now know to pester Jacob about this bug. Let's just hope that the fix goes better than the last time I reported an error message bug...

Should be fixed, could you confirm?

(Also, this means you should now be linked to the right game page again after submission.)

Thanks Hannes, I can confirm that for me the bug is fixed and the link works.

I used to get that all the time and just ignored it. It now says, "You can now go back to where you came from" with "go back" being hyperlinked to the game's page. So, the old bug appears to be fixed, but I'll keep an eye out anyway.

Ha. I knew it. I still get "Invalid input: return_address" when submitting screen grabs for existing games.

Not sure why this would be the case. Could you post the URI of the page you still saw this message on?

It's erratic. Sometimes I get it, sometimes I don't. I'm uploading lots of screen grabs at the moment, so I'll take note and let you know some of the pages (and circumstances) that still give the error.

I also had the error message, just once. The submission shows up in the queue all right, though.

If I remember correctly, I still get this error from time to time, but it's erratic. The submission still goes through alright, so don't worry about it.
