Re: New site name?

As for acronyms, I'm fresh out of ideas. For a tag line I'm thinking "CASA: the great underground house of adventures", or CASA: where Adventurers go to get info." If you guys were thinking a jingle: "It's where adventurers go, to get info: Casa: C A S A!" Throw a jazzy rhythm with that, slap that b...

Re: I'm surprised (and happy) that people still play these g

I've played the moonbase demo and it worked out quite well using the voice input and TTS. Great job mark. I still haven't tried the others but I definately will have to.

Re: Retro Gamer 82: The Making of… Leather Goddesses Of Phob

Omygod, I would love to meet those guys from Infocom. That would be awwesome. I'm probably the biggest Infocom fan, ever! O how cool would it be to meet the guys behind my favorite games, ever! Is there anywhere where I can read the artical online? Being blind, it'd be mighty hard to read that artic...

Re: I'm surprised (and happy) that people still play these g

I'll definately try the demo. And where, I ask, can I pick up the demo to this nostalgic masterpiece?
Also, you might have more blind people playing. I have informed the Blind Gamers mailing list as well as the google group for the eyes-free project, chock full of Android users.

Desert Adventure, A new game in the Scott Adams format

Recently I discovered A new game, Desert Adventure. It is written in the the Scott Adams format. It's at ifarchive.org/indexes/if-archiveXscott-adamsXgamesXScott-free. Click on Desert_Scott.zip. The game was written by Sam Trenholm in 2007. It has a scott Adams datafile, a z-code version, A windows ...

Re: Nostalgia

I've played the hobbit, played it online. I played the spectrum and c64 versions online, and definately liked the c64 version better. As for sherlock I don't have a c64 and, being blind (yes, you read right), probably couldn't use it. However I have heard of a supposed speech synthesizer for c64 so ...

Hmmm, right about shirlock. Is it the Infocom version you're playing? I remember another shirlock game and then a game called 221B Baker street, probably a shirlock game as well. Hmmm, if the infocom game you're right. Very cramped schedule.
Hmmm.

Re: Trinity - anyone want to join in?

Hello everyone. First off I want to say how helpful Jacob's solutions (the ones on the if archive) were. Without your solutions I would probably still be lost in the royal puzzle in Zork3 and still at the magick shop in Wishbringer lol. Sorry if I sound like a total fan girl. Back on topic, Indeed y...

Re: I'm surprised (and happy) that people still play these g

Hello Mark. I am a new member of this site, but not new to Text Adventures. The first game I ever played was the original Adventure and I haven't stopped playing since. Although I don't have (and probably couldn't use) an Amstrad, I am quite interested. I'm glad you included the TTS and voice input ...

Beyond Zork help please

Hello. I need some general help on Beyond Zork and help with a puzzle. I have gathered the spenseweed, defeated the guttersnipe and eldrich vapor, gotten the lamp, rug, rod, scroll and potion. However when I enter the cellar, I get stuck. I have defeated the rat-ant and discipline crab, gotten the w...
