You have made better progress than I. I had managed to sort the lizard, use the disc, get past the snake but now I can't get across the stream or get past the guardian on the steps. Can you give me some hints to catch up?

To be able to swim the stream you need to get rid of the snakes in it. Do ...

I have tried QA for a bit, to give my brain a rest from Opera. Have made considerable progress thanks to your suggestion about the rope. Here are my discoveries:
Dig on beach to find machete
Cut vine with machete to get it. Haven't found a use for it yet.
Cut hanging vines with machete to discover ...

OK I have mapped and explored Opera House. I have a number of questions:
1. How do you pour the chloroform on the cottonwool without knocking yourself out? If you need the gasmask for this then see number 2.

Yes, you need to wear the mask.

2. I cannot get out of the trapdoor. If I climb I get ...

I have found the bunch of keys; they are in the tiny office under the invoice.

LOL! I can't believe I missed that. All you had to do was pick up the invoice. I just read it without picking it up.

Got stuck on QA unable to cross the river, where did you get stuck on it Juan?

I got stuck a bit ...

I don't know if I'm just being an arse but I can't get Atari800win to work. I have downloaded the program and the XF25 program. I have copied the ROMs from XF25 into the Atari800win Rom file and have selected each for the operating systems. However it still comes up with an "ROM load error" message ...

Yes, definitely Atari800Win. Seems to be the best Atari 8 bit emulator out there.

Opera House and QA for the Atari 400/800

Has anyone around here attempted to solve any of these two games for the Atari 400/800?:

http://www.atarimania.com/detail_soft-MENU-8-VERSION_ID-13392.html

I haven't played QA much (became stuck pretty early in that game) but I must be close to the end of Opera House. I am attempting to kill the ...

Okay, the differences seem to be just cosmetic:

Line # (165) (667) Reason
1031 5 10 Getting the book from the bar
1135 20 67 Burying the ruby
1810 10 11 Climbing through the window
2300 -10 -10 Using HELP

2300 -10 points for using HELP

I did not use HELP in my game so I did not notice this. I just checked it and it does subtract points from the score, so better take it out of the walkthrough, Terri.

3805 25 points for drinking some liquid to allow you to carry more

This is probably the ...

OK, I have been able to discover the missing 3% from your score. You did not GET BOOK (1%) and you jumped through the window instead of CLIMB WINDOW (2%). It seems, then, that picking up some objects and doing things in a different manner give some points. I am still baffled as to what the remaining ...

Doreen, who also played the game with me, got 93%. Probably, some small thing I forgot to do.

Yes, the missing 7% must be minor things which apparently give points. If you send me your walkthrough perhaps I can spot what you missed but Doreen and I didn't. Maybe this will also give me an idea ...

OK, I figured out what happened. It seems that if you move the rock out of the cave for some reason the exit gets blocked. I repeated that part again, bit simply picked it up and then dropped it in the same place. Now I could exit the cave after getting out of the cellar.

I have finished the game ...

Yes, I did find my solution. I thought I had sent it to Jacob, but maybe I hadn't.

Don't send it yet. Maybe we can figure out what's missing from your 90% score by looking inside the game and come up with an even more complete score.

DROP CRATE, TAKE ALL, UP, DROP BUCKET, DOWN, TAKE TALISMAN, N ...

I can't find anything I have written about thisl

So I will need start again. Please be patient.

Thanks.

By the way, I took a look at the game code and I could not find any "locket" in the list of objects. I suspect that was going to be in the second part of the game, which apparently was never ...
