I have boarded the ship where the other Vikings are, and the game now asks to save your position before loading the second part. I need to figure out how to do this in the emulator I am using (Spectaculator V.5.30) before I can continue.

I have not been able to kill the wolf, though, not even with ...

At the boulder I used the help of the dwarf (so apparently you shouldn't kill him). Keep trying - it's those random elements...

OK, I finally got the boulder out of the way. I am not 100% sure if this is relevant or not, but it happened after I gave the Dwarf the crust and the apple. He ate the ...

Re: thor

The verb is 'SEARCH' dust

Thanks. It seems, however, that the sharpened axe does not increase your chances of killing the wolf. So far it's proven as useless as when it was blunt.

I too have not been able to get the dwarf (and myself) to push the boulder - (in fact at this moment in time bothe ...

I think I managed to locate one of the programmers, Steve Calkin:

http://www.bignose.uk.net/bignose/products.html

He (or at least I suppose it's him) has a web site with a guestbook:

http://www.labworth.co.uk/aboutme.html

I left him a message asking for any help he could give us.
Have you ...

Re: thor 1

You need the rasp - found in the moss in the small store room. This is used to free the dwarf from his chains.

OK, thanks, I missed that one.

Now how do you move the boulder? I think the Dwarf is supposed to help you, but so far I can only get him to try to move it alone.

Still havn't found ...

Yes, I have the horn, but the recess is full of dust. How do you remove it? You keep sneezing if you try.

I have sharpened the axe - but havn't 'lit the candle' how do you do that.
With the tinderbox.

Thor - Spectrum 128K

Anyone played this one for the Spectrum 128K?:

A couple of questions:

1- How do you kill the wolf in the cave? (I suspect that you need to sharpen the axe before killing it is possible, but how do you do that in the first place? The flint ...

Hi Juan,

"FILE NOT FOUND

BREAK IN 2020

"
:(

Problem fixed. Just get rid of line 2020 (when it gives you the error message and sends you to the prompt, just write 2020, then enter ...

Saigon: The Final Days (Atari 400/800 & TRS-80)

Has anyone around here played this game released by Adventure International?:

http://www.atarimania.com/detail_soft.php?MENU=8&VERSION_ID=6960

There is also a TRS-80 version:

From where? Every time I try moving down I "slip and fall" which leads nowhere but to your death.

The pool pf water is around the monument area. You examined the dust, right? What else could you do in a "dirty" place? Use the same verb you used in the fissure. You will see a word. Say <the> and that will open up another location for you, i.e. to the pool.

OK, game over. The game's parser was ...

Re: the lava pit.

You need to toss something into it. Have you found something that is "cold to the touch"? Hints - south of the pool of water.

I must have missed this location. So far I have encountered 3 bodies of water. Two lakes and the sea. The sea doesn't seem to be affected by either ...

It's a location in which the game writes "You can go nowhere at all" after climbing down.
Got it. Now I'm stuck at a lava pit.
