Re: Missing Atari 8-bit titles
That's only one enhanced density disk. The original was two enhanced density disks. Are you sure it's complete? Perhaps Alex could test both.

Re: Atzeco Adventure
I'm pleased to announce that the bug-fixed version of Atzeco Adventure has been posted to the VZ200/300 Facebook group and to CASA. I won't bore you with all the details, but I've played it through to the end on two different emulators and it appears to work fine. As well as fixing all the bugs I ...

Re: Missing Atari 8-bit titles
Saw your comment about the game showing corruption. Let me know if this side works:

That's the version I had. You can't view the files because the directory is offset by one sector and it has a customised DOS.SYS. I think I've fixed it and sent the ...

Re: Windows program to edit atr images.
I think I might have fixed it. The directory was offset by 1 sector and the first sector of the directory was replaced by dummy file names. There was a clash between the file numbers in the dummy file names and the real files so that you can't view or trace the files. DOS.SYS had been modified to ...

Re: Windows program to edit atr images.
You're right. Choose Tools > Disk Explorer, Click the ellipsis button to open an atr disk image, then right-click on a file and choose Delete or Rename from the shortcut menu.
Of course, you can also do this stuff using Atari DOS.

Re: Windows program to edit atr images.
I just tried it using version 1.13 and it appeared to work fine. However, after saving the file and opening it again, it said *Unknown Dos Format (Not a Dos Disk)*. It looks like it screwed up the disk, so better not use that one!

Re: Windows program to edit atr images.
I normally user ATR Tools by Jay L Bray. It's not the greatest program on the planet, but does the job.
AtrUtil by Ken Siders is easier to use for basic functions like Delete, Rename and Export files.
makeATR by soudi is similar to AtrUtil, but also has a sector viewer.

Re: Atzeco Adventure
I had to modify the game to increase the inventory limit to 2 and only allow the Aztec warrior to appear once. Then, and only then, I eventually managed to finish the game. It was quite a flat, disappointing ending.

Re: Atzeco Adventure
Geez, this Aztec Adventure is a tough game. It has everything that gave retro text adventures a bad name. It has an inventory limit of one item. It has a warrior that randomly pops up on a frequent basis. You can't leave the room while he's present and he kills you after a few moves. You can kill ...

Re: Atzeco Adventure
Actually, there was one funny Google translation "error". For the object in line 2515, it translated this as "A GOLD BLOWJOB". Despite there being "HALLS OF MONTEZUMA'S 150 CONCUBINES" and "ROOMS OF MONTEZUMA'S WIFE", I somehow didn't think this was right. A list of synonyms indicated that it ...

Re: Atzeco Adventure
Yes. I use Google Translate. Quite to my surprise, it did a fairly good job. There are one or two sentences that sound weird, so I'll see what they mean in context when I've played the game.

Re: Atzeco Adventure
I've done the English translation. I just need to get it into a vz file (that's been giving me some grief) and play the game to make sure everything makes sense. While doing the translation, I noticed a couple of typos in the Italian version. David Maunder has been kind enough to create a vz file of ...
