Re: investigations

No, it's set for 128. I don't get an "out of memory" message.

investigations

I am trying to play this game (available at WoS).

However, I cannot get it to load.

Is there anyone who can download this game after the loading screen clears, and pm me the saved file?

I should be able (or rather I was once able) to play .szx, .z80, .sna files.

Thanks

Re: leotrope

Yes, I got the rock as well. Had to go to another planet first, and then backtrack in order to get the rock. Took some time to figure out how, but since we now know that the game uses more than a two-word parser, this was easier. BTW - thanks for joining in, Alastair. I use a different emulator than...

Re: leotrope

But I only visited one other planet. And still got 75. so I guess I am not really finished, or at least up to your point.

I got the other object, but still only 75 points.

Re: leotrope

I've tried various emulators and can't get it to load as well.

Though I see that, size-wise, the .zip file is only a little bit bigger than the unzipped file, so, shouldn't that mean it is in there somewhere?

I only got 70 points. Were the other five for visiting the other planets?

legion adventure

BBC game. I think available at Stairway to Hell. I am trying this one now. While not a great game, it is playable. It should not be too challenging for some. There are several places where you die. But in most, you need an object, or to do something, to get you past the obstacle. This is not always ...

Re: leotrope

Neither do I.

Short of contacting the author, I don't know where to go next. Googling his name doesn't give me an address, other than he is/was from the UK.

Re: leotrope

I've gotten into the pod.

The manual instructions say you need a matter translator. Maybe there was one we missed somewhere?

Re: leotrope

OK I've traded and now have a green ticket. I go through the green door and come across the translating fafool.

I don't know what to do here.

I also don't know how to increase my money to buy skins.

Anything to do at the fungus wall?

So it looks like I need help.

Re: leotrope

OK I've made some progress.

I see something yellow in the grass. But how to get it?

Further along I see two shops (where I can't buy anything with one yona), and later on a man looking for something.

I have no idea what to do in those places. Have you had any success?

Re: leotrope

Yes, I finally found the ladder with your hint. I had not tried 3-word commands. I found gloves there, and the box. Is that where you found the ticket you spoke about?

How does one open the box?

Anything to do with the floorboards? Other than fall through them at one location?

Re: leotrope

nor did I find the manual. EXAMINE , SEARCH and LOOK give different responses Alex - take your own advice and combine the two, i.e. search/look /examine where you are, i.e. the pod, the balloon, the drawer. I'm trying to use the ladder to climb into the hole of the ceiling in the study but can't fi...

A spectrum game. Futuristic. I've just started and I'm stuck. I am able to retrieve one object before I get called to the airport, after which I find the manual. However, there is a locked drawer in the balloon which I need a card to open. I don't like getting to the end of a game, and find I have t...

Re: some tech support please

Thanks, Alastair.

I checked and I have all those ROMS there.

The atari cartridge image is missing, though.

And now I can'r remember what game I was trying to play.
