I too am impressed

Wow is right. I guess you have been playing for years. Sure, next game can be one of your "unsolved" games. I probably have more than you do, but Goldwood sounds interesting. When we finish Greedy Gulch and/or Ziggarat.

some things

I found that you could fill the bottle, if you USE PUMP three times.

Got across the ravine with no plank.

Did you find the poles? You need to LIFT FLOOR at the barber's. But then you need a light, and I don't know how to extinguish the lamp. However you need a light at the mine, and the lamp is ...

plank

What verb did you use to get the plank across the ravine?

Is it any good at the stockyard?

I don't know what else the boarding house is good for except to see the view.

I suppose one should fill the bottle first. But I see to recall having problems with the verb.

lordy, you're fast

Wow. Let me tell you how far I have gotten.
Got the plank and the lamp. Got the axe.
Sharpened the axe.
Got the tin and filled the lamp.
Got the bottle from the saloon.
Read the register.
Got the hat.
Used the axe in the sheriff's office. Got the gun.
Opened and climbed down window.
Got Zeek map ...

OK

You're on Amby. You the map, me the verbal. However, I still say that this is an unsatisfying conclusion. To the game, not to our collaboration and Doreen's help.

Gee Doreen, what else is in your basement?

would you believe??

POINT BONE (once again) frees Zelda. But I can't seem to get, carry, rescue, etc. Even after that I get booted out when I return to the high priest's place. Maybe one should do something with the symbol there?

Still don't know what to do with the key?

Are there any doors somewhere which I missed?

Greedy Gulch

Everyone should play more than one game at a time, so as to allow some "space" between frustrations.

I propose Greedy Gulch - Spectrum game I think. Basic visuals, no major mapping needed. Looks simple enough, but of course, verb problems.

force screen

At the first force screen, POINT BONE. Going W, E, N, takes you to the cell area. Pointing the bone lets you go up; west gets you to the food hall, then north to the other force screen. POINT WAND does not work here. It's my opinion that opening it will create a new exit.

Guido, it may soon be time ...

after vestments

After getting the vestments, I went W, S, and pointed the bone at the bloodstained alter. Then I got the key. But I do not know how to use it at the cell.

There is also that area north of the food hall where there is another force screen. The wand does not work there; neither does the key ...

thank you ladies

Thanks for the help.
Part 2 seems a bit of a letdown. Was SEDUCE GUARD among the clues given in the game?
When you reach the last room with the three math items, and it brings you to an endless feedback loop, I suppose that is mathematical in a way, but somehow disappointing. Maybe that was the ...

coin?

Where do you get the coin to give to the guard? I've checked each of the four servants' rooms? And the polished table? Can't use the key either.

I suppose...

Well, I suppose we could back up to Krank and see if we can go down where one gets creamed by the falling rocks. But that doesn't seem likely. There must be something one can do to get the key?

What about using the wooden stake and the "heart"? I'll try and get to it tomorrow.

jeez...

And I had checked and double-checked and thought I had all the objects. Drat!

I don't know what else to do with the staff, as you get all the way to the end of part 1 with it. It says it is useless unless combined with three other objects - not sure which ones.

I too had that problem with part 2 ...

so?

Are you done? Got all the stuff? Freed the slaves? Answered the riddles?Go to the otherlands? Figured out what to do with the box?

All in all, this was a good game, made better, of course, with group support.
