Maybe you should revise Dorothy's solution and send that off to Jacob too?
I just need to figure out where to insert the missing axe parts into the current solution. Right now I'm working on tweeking the solution to Hedda Strikes Again - will tackled Hedda's Revenge next.

Yes, it's the same room. Strange, mine says: "in a small room. It has a stone carving on one of the walls and in its centre you can see a sunken hole." No mention of its shape anywhere.

How did you get to see what shape the hole is? What command did you use? I have tried "examine" and it keeps telling me "don't bother!".
