Terri - no need to plug the holes in the bucket, just use it when your boat is sinking.

I've just been across the icy lake and back safely and now have: coins, boots, bucket, axe, reeds, jug (full of water), net, bread, and apples. Where are these seeds everyone keeps talking about? I tried eating ...

re: the boat. GET BOAT. USE SHEET. W. etc.

I didn't see anything in the game to indicate the presence of a chest, pot etc. either, other than the "you see what you might expect" responses I kept getting. Assuming that there was a bed in the attic bedroom was obvious, and a chest might be found ...

Thanks Doreen. I hadn't realized that when the game responded to my attempts to examine locations with "you see what you might expect" that meant I should try all the objects I would actually expect to see there. Duh.

And even now knowing that, I don't know that I would have thought to try 'pot ...

Mystery of Silver Mountain

I just started this one. So far I have bread and boots (which make me invisible but that doesn't get me past the troll or goblin). I've also learned that the stone circle has 9 stones and that the door in the stable has a horseshoe that is firmly nailed on (and removing the door from it's hinges ...

I now have a copy of Goldwood. Are we starting from scratch, or is there a certain point where (given a save game file), we should start playing?

Thanks for the warning about the Adventures Delight. I probably would have spent days trying to solve it.

I agree, a most unsatisfying ending, it didn't even give me my final score.

So, Terri=solution & Amby=map?

Go to barbers and light the lamp (before adding the oil), it will last long enough to get the poles and then burn itself out. Then refill it for use in the mine.

Or, we can just cheat and get the poles in the dark

Rats! I manged to get in the mine without hitting my head, shot the snake ...

Argh! The inventory management in this game is driving me nuts. I keep ending up with the wrong 6 things. And now that I have freed Yelda she's taking up one of my inventory slots making matters even worse! As for getting her, all I did was POINT BONE and she ran right into my arms. I think you need ...

Terri - It still feels like there was more to Mathematica - an ending the could be reached by returning to part 1 somehow, involving the staff and the 3 items collected at the end of part 2. Wasn't there a wizard who said something about fighting on his terms...?

Doreen - wow, 1000 games? That is ...

Don't bother using the plank for the ravine, it's narrow enough to cross on your own. Never tried it in the stockyard, I think it's needed in some form the mine although I haven't come up with the correct verb yet.

Yes, you will need a full bottle of water before heading into the desert. Note: you ...

Greedy Gulch

I've made it to the mine but I have a nagging feeling that I have missed too much in town - the places where I suspect I could have done something before crossing the ravine, but didn't, are: the boarding house, the barber shop, and the stockyard.

Also, is there an item that helps with inventory ...
