For the harp, put the dragon to sleep then climb the tree again and deposit the harp at the branch there.

For the rucksack I put three objects into it whilst on the ledge north of Death Row, then once in Death Row I managed to add one more object. I am not sure if the selection of objects matters ...

Attempt to save the game in the forest glade by the pole and cave, then repeat the attempt. With that out of the way you should be able to finish the game.

P.S. The Customs Official lies, he does not return your treasure, so deposit all treasure (except, perhaps, the sword) before moving to the ...

This is quite a tough game, if it wasn't for the hint sheet I would have remained ignorant of the banking system, I can only assume that the instructions mention the bank.

Anyway, I have reached the pole and the boarded up cave but as yet can go no further as I have not found a way to enter the ...

Some extra things, though no further to a solution.

First LOOK IN SAFE, you will find something that you can WEAR (and also TAKE OFF if your hands are not full). If you do wear it, you will no longer be troubled by footsteps.

Second, if you wish to see the pictures again type DRAW (pity, I thought ...

The goblet is the object we are trying to return to the church.

To add to the list.
- How do you get into the church?
- You can eat the garlic, so does the garlic have another use to that of getting past the bat (which you can pass just by carrying the garlic) ?
- Could it be that you enter the ...

I haven't played this game, but the BBC/Electron solution (based on CASA's C64 solution) appears here

4:55 is five to five!
Now, that was clever - how on earth did you figure that out? :thumb:
It's quite common in the UK to refer to time in that manner. Of course we rarely say fifteen to, fifteen past, or thirty past the hour, we like to confuse things by switching from minutes to fractions of an ...

4:55 is five to five!

Now all we have to do is open the church door.

I have yet to play through the Crimson Crown Open Version, but loading a save game created with the Virtual Apple 2 version still causes the interrupt.

I notice that commands such as Erik, get sword now work the same way as the Comprehend version, perhaps this is the "bug" fix (see my edit to a ...

I have managed to play around with it now and also run into the same problem, no matter which emulator setting I choose. I have also tried to find other disc images, but so far all the ones I have found are identical to those at Virtual Apple 2.

I suspect that these images are bugged, that may also ...

I take it that the version causing problems is the non-comprehend version. I've never seen this version could you post a link for it?

In the meantime the only suggestion I have is that it may not like certain types of Apple II, try setting your emulator to emulate an Apple ][ or Apple ][+.

Jacob, I don't know why you would consider it sacrilegious as the Apple II is both older and not as advanced as the C64. That said, I recall reading an article by games designer Chris Crawford who stated that as Apple refused to get in to the price war then current between Atari and Commodore, many ...

Why are people using word processors and spreadsheets to create drawings? What you need is a drawing or diagramming (apparently that's a word) program.
I guess that people use whatever they have available to them, and an awful lot of people own the MS Office package.

But doesn't MS Office come ...

Further to what I said above here is a wikipedia list of free diagramming software , apart from OpenOffice Draw I have not tried any of them so do ...
