Re: ADRIFT platforms
Jacob, please re-read what I wrote. I'm arguing for as few PC categories as we can get away with, and I reckon we can get away with two - "Windows" for Win 9x and NT games, and "PC" for everything else (which will probably be 99.9% DOS games). If it becomes apparent that we need to separate the DOS ...

Re: ADRIFT platforms
I could be wrong, but I think that 99% of the PC titles would fit under either DOS or Windows (OS).
If you ignore the UNIX-like OSes then it would probably be over 99%! For starters we could separate the Win 9x and NT games and classify them under the category of Windows platform, leaving the ...

Re: ADRIFT platforms
Can we agree that it would suffice to split PC into DOS and Windows?
This would bring up the matter of OS/2, C/PM-86, GEM, and any other operating system or environment created for the (IBM compatible) PC. Also, would "Windows" refer only to operating system Windows or would it include the ...

Re: Twine games?
I have made the What games should we include? thread "sticky" (partly because doing so will save me spending time searching for it in future). As the title indicates the thread is meant to address what sort of games should CASA cover and it may be well if people read/re-read it to get an idea of the ...

Re: Steve W. Lucas games
Any MSX experts out there?
I'm not but if you haven't seen it yet there is a wiki on MSX-BASIC Instructions which may be of some use. In the meantime you could try various clear values, starting at 4000 and increasing or decreasing the value by a few thousands or hundreds until you get to a ...

A few minutes playing the game confirms that it's a version of Adventureland.

Re: Mixed up screenshot
The "Amstrad CPC" screen shot was actually a TRS-80 screen shot for Rodger Olsen's game. I have deleted it and uploaded a better TRS-80 screen shot for the other game.

You may well be right, it's a bit difficult to tell what is and what isn't moderator specific.ahope1 wrote: Mon Dec 28, 2020 5:20 pm I think you won't see the Delete button (the cross) unless the post in question is the final post in the thread.
Jonathan, as promised I have deleted one of the duplicate posts.

Re: Adventure Diploma - completable?
BTW, I have obviously done the above post twice. Is there any way to edit or delete one's own posts?
Near the top of your post you should see boxes containing a pencil, cross, exclamation mark, etc. The pencil is for edit and the cross to delete. If the delete box isn't available to you, tell me ...

I've re-attributed the hints and solutions for Rick Hanson and The Secret Garden to "Jonathan O". The other profile no longer has any contributions attributed to it, but I am not sure if I can delete it.

Re: Unlock/moderate a post?
It's been approved. It's just a matter of the time difference between when a new member posts and a moderator logs in and approves the post. Usually this should be within 24 hours.
