(I was intrigued to see Terraquake as a "similar game" to Dracula, though!)
It's not that far fetched, actually. Both games have a simplistic parser, display crude graphics and their stories are built around popular frachises of the fantasy genre.

And if we're now including (relatively) modern ...

To toot my horn a little - I wrote reviews about some of the games mentioned here:
- The Hound of Shadow
- Dracula
- The Lurking Horror

As the audience here is a little more 'experty', I have to admit that I try to sound a little more enthusiastic about those games in the reviews than I actually ...

I like the Hound of Shadow very much. Not easy to get into, but the alternate solutions and generally good writing were worth it.

I'll be looking forward to it in any case. Also to Jacob's alternative documentary about European Text Adventures! ;)

Seems that he's covered the American scene very well, including most (all?) of the Infocom luminaries. I was disappointed, though, to see a distinct lack of British authors. I'd love to hear from the Level 9 and Magnetic Scrolls people, among others.
Same here, though I think this reflects how ...

It's scheduled for release in March 2010. The opportunity to pre-order (for 10$ off) ends with this year, though, so better hurry! Disclaimer: I'm not involved in the project.

Development is progressing slowly, but surely. I assume it'll still take a couple of more months, though, because we're really lacking someone working on this full time (hey, I can dream!).

I took the liberty of contacting Michael himself about the game (he has got a website at http://www.freewebs.com/nameless/ , but there is no contact information on there, so I'm not sure whether it's alright to pass it on). He said he's not sure whether he still has the complete source code (and he ...

Sorry, I should have been clearer. My explanations weren't just aimed at your specific point, but I was taking a more general stab at the issue of forum integration. This mostly concerns any automation between site and forum.

In this specific case, this would work as long as the topic ids don't ...

To clarify the point about forum integration a bit more: The issue of URLs can certainly be solved the way you say, but the real problem lies deeper: The forum's database layout. We would need to access that database directly in order to have any such functionality. Not hard to implement in the end ...

Uh... it's still broken for me. No single image, the main content area is tiny (about 100x100 pixels below the large menu).

The board's IM system is fine. If you prefer e-mail, you can contact me at mr_creosote at the first domain name I wrote in the earlier post. I'm ok with anything but Google (sorry to be so picky...). Third option (as far as I'm concerned) is Jabber - my address there is MrCreosote@jabber.ccc.de ...
