Welcome to the club :) I think that's where the rest of us are stuck, too.

I haven't been able to do anything with the body or the perfume, and nothing is playing on the television after I discovered the body...
Those two things are closely related. If you READ BOTTLE, you're told that it's a Channel No. 5. Notice the spelling "error" :)

Did you manage to remove the ...

Jacob - thanks for sending the fixed file and BeebEm - it works much better than the emu I was using.
You're welcome! As for the butler, the poor chap's been locked up forever. Give him a drink to calm his nerves :)

Has anyone has any luck with the safe yet? I've tried every conceivable combitation of "4" and "55", the numbers from the clock, but nothing works.

I think I'm in need of these files since I can't "look in tree" etc. Using the information here I've made it as far as freeing the butler (but then I ran out of light) and during another try, as far as the room with the painting (although nothing I type reveals a safe)...
I'll send the files to ...

Rich,
The raven is outside the garden so you needn't worry about it just yet. You don't need to do anything to the dog as such, just get the opal and get away from the dog. In order to leave the garden, you need a key. Did you check those soldiers extra carefully yet?

Re: Progress

Afriad Clive didn't have any extra info as even after 20 years he was keeping his cards close to his chest. Although, it could be worth being a little kinder to his game as he knows about this site . LOL
Haha, good point. Clive, if you read this: Holy Horrors is a fine game with some nice puzzles ...

Re: Holy Horrors - Secret Panel

ateague wrote:'open sesame' - from the great man himself.
This is what is known in the gaming community as a Really Lame Puzzle!
There are absolutely no indications that any such command should work.
Did the great man have any other input?

To continue from the boat... it's not an entirely logical puzzle, but in the original story, the girl gives the river something in order to get Kay back. Perhaps you should do the same? (hint hint!)

I must agree with St. Brides - too bad they didn't create more games. Secret of St. B. was really ...

Geoff has brought it to my attention that there are problems with the version of the game found on Stairway to Hell. If anyone else wants to join in, let me know and I'll send you the necessary files

Hi Richard,
I've taken the liberty of updating the subject to "Snow Queen" rather than "Ice Queen" :)

There are two essential things if you are to leave the house. Kiss Gran and clean yourself up - there's a wash stand in your bedroom. Ignore the window and just head out the door. If you need ...

If you LOOK IN TREE, you will find some money. This allows you to buy the axe. Once you reach the outside of the castle, you will come across Rover. Since Rover is a dog, you'll also need to buy something to allow you to lead him to his owner :)
Once you get inside the castle, the puzzles should be ...

My, this is a weird one!

The game seems to have one of the most limited parsers ever released and who's this bloke chewing chunks out of my neck?

I can't even enter the church!

Hehe, yeah, the parser isn't exactly the best, but the game has some neat puzzles inside the castle, IMO. I don't ...
