Re: Adventure Challenge

Thanks for your work, Hannes!

Since there's no Third Man game in the database, I was thinking that
Shade (ie. a shade of green)
might fit the bill?

Re: Adventure Challenge

So.... shoehorning myself into the ongoing debate, I'm gonna go for
V - The Adventure
(Because, well, V - and it was shown on tv :) )

Re: The Twelve Days Of Christmas by Zenobi Software ..

As Dave is saying, it's not too complicated to extract a list of all locations (including how they're connected), items, verbs, nouns etc., and if you wee so inclined, you could probably sit down and code the game in BASIC if you're fairly proficient in that language. But I think it would be a lot ...

Re: Adventure Challenge

I'm desperately trying to regain the top spot :)
Moonshards of Sacrimore ?

"This is a hint" upside down means to reverse the order of the pictures?
More = Thomas More
Sacri = sacrifice
Shards = the rocks might look a bit like shards?
Moon = I have no idea who they are, but they might very well be ...

Re: Commodore 64 Hiding BASIC Code technique ..

That's funny :) I used to remember a few of these tricks to stop people listing the program. There's another one, PRINT SHIFT+L or something along those lines, which breaks off LIST when it reaches the line with the command.
I wonder whether the five colon trick is intentional or a side effect of ...

Re: Adventure Challenge

Ok, a wild guess:
2010: The Text Adventure Game
The selected actors on the left are #3, 4, 6, and 7 - a total of 20
The selected actors on the right are #4 and 6 (or 7, depending on how you count) - a total of 10

Looking at them as divided, this becomes 2010.

Did that make any sense?

Re: Adventure Challenge

A question: feel free to ignore it - are the actors important? Some of them are fairly easy to recognize (John Gielgud, Richard Widmark), but others are not - and it's been aeons since I've seen the film, so.... ;)
