Timex Sinclair
The other day I was updating some games which ran on the Timex Sinclair. Wikipedia mentions that "Timex Sinclair released four computers, all of them based (to some extent) on Sinclair Research's existing machines", but also that at least one of them had "poor compatibility with software developed ...

Re: Twilight Inventory
Thanks for posting - should have done so myself
It's quite a lengthy book, and I think that all old-school afficionados should find it well worth their time!

Re: What games should we include?
Like I said, it's a shortcut to a specific competition. I would never set up a genre based on individual years - horror games from 2001 wouldn't really have much else in common.
But at least the genre list is a lot shorter now :) All Speed IF, IF Art etc. tags have been lumped into one simply ...

Re: What games should we include?
Thanks for your feedback, folks. Hannes, I think we agree to a large extent.
I think it is a good idea to use only one genre for the speed-if games. The same counts in my opinion for the IF comp games. As the year already is mentioned by each game record it is not needed to make a different genre ...

Re: German Grand Prix
Ok, genre info updated. I took the info from IF Wiki: http://www.ifwiki.org/index.php/Grand_Prix - which is out of date, it appears.

Re: What games should we include?
Thanks for raising this issue :D It's not a trivial one, but I think it's quite important, so let's dive in.
I've talked to other users about Speed IF. I've quite openly stated that I'm not a fan, either. It seems that often, these games are mostly in-joke exercises which rely heavily on knowing ...

Re: I Dare You for the C64
Thanks for clearing up things, Strident! I've often found the whole homegrown market a bit headache-inducing when it comes to registering the games properly :D I'll fix the game entry as possible. And yes, it makes sense regarding the Speccy being the original platform.

Great news! I know that the same baking method is often used to preserve decomposing film reels. Sounds weird, but it works!

Ok, thanks for the info. I always attempt to list the original platform, so I'll update the game entry.

Re: Another Classic Ported to TRS-80 MC-10
Hi, a bit uncertain here - is this originally for the MC-10? If not, what machine was it originally written for? Thanks!

Re: RF Generation Linked
Thanks! It would be even better if you would link to the actual gamepage, as that contains comments, addition files (maps etc) and the chance to rate and comment on the game

Re: I Dare You for the C64
That's certainly good enough for me - and in general, the whole publishing situation regarding these home-grown games is often rather muddy.
World of Spectrum lists The Guild as the publisher (http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseek.cgi?regexp=I+Dare+You) - and they also indicate that Pegasus ...
