I would agree, though, that a lot of the discussions in these forums seem to be for Spectrum games, though BBC games seem to be brought up as well. I haven't seen a lot of topics on Apple ][ or C64 games.

That is correct. It's the non-Comprehend version. The difference is mainly at the beginning of the game, which has a different title screen, and an intro blurb with a skeletal boatman who gives you your mission.
