What is the basis of the adventure story.
Thanks

Re: Grundy NewBrain adventure games by KAYDE

Kayde's Arcane Quest has finally become available for the Commodore 64 thanks to a unique surviving copy of it that was found by one the contributors at this site: http://www.gamesthatwerent.com/gtw64/arcane-quest/ Game has been finished and a walkthrough posted right here at CASA: https://solutiona...

Re: Castle of Terror for the ZX Spectrum

Does anyone own or know if Castle of Terror by Melbourne House was ever released for the ZX Spectrum? There's a .Z80 snapshot on World of Spectrum but it's a multiload text adventure and part 2 is missing. None of the Melbourne collectors I know own or have ever seen a copy. I encountered and repor...

Re: Help with debugging some Basic classics

Just added "Chateau Gaillard" to the list of ports. However, I was able to solve this one. A map (walkthrough) can be found here: http://jimgerrie.blogspot.ca/2014/04/tim-hartnells-chateau-gaillard.html I should also mention, if there are Basic games that anyone knows of, that don't quite work righ...

Re: Ebony Tower - BBC

A small error: After lighting the torch the first time, you need to go east before you can get the seed. Yes, that is missing. Will correct it. I am as far as getting the flute. I think I needed to insert another "EAST" before turning the light on. I am in the house, but cannot seem to get the book...

Re: Alice and the March Hare - Tatung Einstein

It appears to be. The starting location of the ring is the same as the cup. The cup is a visible object (has value 1) and the ring isn't (has value 0) just like the coin for instance (when an object has value 2 it is in your inventory). You have to do something to make these objects "appear". In th...

Re: Alice and the March Hare - Tatung Einstein

I found 5 treasures. I guess the diamonds are the sixth treasure but I also didn't find a way how to get a point for dropping them. I tried to clean them in the fountain but alas no result. I suppose you found the scepter. I still have to find a way to retreive the ring properly and there also is a...

Re: Alice and the March Hare - Tatung Einstein

I just gave the game a quick look. I'm still mapping all 123 locations. I never used MESS before. Is it possible to save your game? Pressing shift+F7 doesn't seem to work. I use version 0.130, and saving & loading is very easy. Just press Scroll Lock and you'll get a message saying "Mode: Partial E...

Re: Alice and the March Hare - Tatung Einstein

Have you noticed that there seems to be another map or something similar? Look at the game with an editor and you'll see that right above the already found map indicating the location of one of the treasures there is another one that says "It is marked". It seems to give the location of the dungeon...

Re: Alice and the March Hare - Tatung Einstein

I've made more progress by discovering that the location text does not always tell you what is in a location, to find out you sometimes need to use HELP (or just plain H). Doing this at the river bank reveals that a boat is nearby. SAIL BOAT takes you to a location containing two useful items, one ...
