Re: Does 'De Tijdmachine' exist for Spectrum ZX?

Hi, The game I played to write the solution and still have is a basicfile called Bc2tijd.bas. I played it on a zx spectrum emulator without a basic code translator. As mentioned above the code states it was written on a zx spectrum but clearly to be a basiccode program. For those interested the basi...

Re: Skullduggery

Congratulations!! I didn't have time at all to play it the last few days. The maze is not random as you will be able to see on my map (I''ll try to upload it his week).

As I understood from my map, the game does not end in the underworld, but when you find the treasure (it is not a good ending).

Re: Skullduggery

I need to find a light source so that I don't get killed in dark rooms or when night falls. I've found several flammable objects such as hay, candle, torch, logs and various paper products, but I haven't worked out how to light them. I've found the flint and iron and can strike them to create spark...

Re: Skullduggery

Hello, nice that you give it a try. I only found the solution on the internet today. I haven't read it yet. I only noticed by a quick glance that it was rather long and complicated. Because I don't have a lot of spare time, I made the map before I started playing the game by looking at the hexcode. ...

Skullduggery

I started playing Skullduggery. I've made a map and I found a parchment with some clues:

I solved some problems, but I still have a lot of questions. Anyone likes to join in?

I replaced the slash with an underscore. This solved the problem.

Re: CASA 20 years

Just in time back from the Juan Fernandez Islands to celebrate this day! Thank you, Jacob for providing us this platform where we can share our solutions, maps, and other subjects concerning text adventures. And thank you for your friendship all these years. I don’t remember when it was the first ti...

I had adapted it with Inform 6 (without the library) a few years ago and I had added the possibility of not having a random room's end.
Well that does make the game more interesting to play. However the original is still rather dumb because of this.

Re: Competition Entries etc. (split from "Genre Suggestions")

Yes, siree, I couldn't agree more. I even agree with your last remark about languages although I do play adventures in Dutch, English, Spanish, German, French and if I'm really up to it sometimes some more exotic languages. Although I do think a game which I can't play because I don't grasp the lang...

Re: Duplicate games & games that should be deleted

Yes Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian are all three different versions of the Serbo-Croation language. Slovene (or Slovenian) is a different language. Together they(Slovene and Serbo-Croatian) form the Western South Slavic language family.

Re: Genre Suggestions

I agree with Jacob and Sudders on this. Those competition games normally are not written to be played by a bunch of other people. They are often jokes, one room adventures or small programmes to practise a certain technique. As far as I see it we don’t want to become the equivalent of the Encyclopae...
