Re: Tajemnica Carmen Strasse 35

I think it's more of a gamebook/choice game, rather than a text adventure; where you're just interacting with single key presses and the occasional code; which is something CASA doesn't generally add new entries about. https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/32240/ZX-Spectrum/Tajemnica_Carmen_Strasse_35

Re: T'was a Time of Dread - date issue

Yes, the 1991 date is a mistake (it should be 1992) but sadly, like any changes to entries at the moment, it can't be updated without losing other data from the entry. The Unborn One is also incorrect, as that should have a 1991 date. Technically I think all the games in that series were actually pr...

Re: Chris Lampton vs Christopher Lampton

There's nothing on any of Chris' sites that seems to link him to Starflight. More evidence would be needed to combine the two entries. Chris hasn't posted on Twitter or any of his blogs for a couple of years otherwise I'd just send him a message to ask.

Re: Feamor (VZ200)

There isn't much out there about this game, aside from the couple of adverts in the Aussie computer mags - none of which mention a second part or additional game... which you would've thought would be a selling point. There is a very active VZ200 Facebook group where you might be able to get a dump ...

Re: "A Dark Sky over Paradise" - Help wanted!

I can't see anything obvious in the game code either.

The game did come with some additional documentation (adverts reference a "Welcome to your new home" leaflet & a manual) so, yes, it is possible that a clue to "circle" as the password was included there.

Re: Authoring System Not Currently Showing

I've not heard anything about a fix for the current issues. It won't take us long to clear the backlog when the issue is fixed but I've not touched the database since it became evident we were losing data by amending entries. Hopefully Jacob will post some sort of update soon.

Re: Missing Atari 8-bit titles

The publisher is HACE. I'm presuming this is H--- Atari Computer Enthusiasts. Any idea what the "H" stands for? Possibly the Houston Atari Computer Enthusiasts user group. https://archive.org/details/atari_interface_jun91/page/n49/ (who published "Update Atari") Here's a letter dating back to their...

Probably Hisoft BASIC like Doppy & Pru, but I don't think either is listed under BASIC at the moment anyway.

Now there's only 128.
Only 126 now as someone seems to have updated the entries to The Beast, Unhallowed and Peanut Butter this evening. :-?

Re: Authoring System Not Currently Showing

It seems to have been edits to the entries themselves (which those had) that has caused their systems to disappear; rather than the action of appending the solutions & maps; but I still think it's just probably best not to touch anything at this point.

Re: Castle Hallways Ti-99

Well, Mickey's guide has that one tagged as ROLE-G-BB2; which is "role-playing-type adventure game" with "some graphics" on "cassette and disk" for "beginner" and of "fair quality". Edit: It's always interesting going back and looking for stuff multiple times, as I've discovered a mention of it, aga...

Re: Authoring System Not Currently Showing

Yes, it is definitely affecting any new entries added... the "system" isn't actually being saved. For example, see the Forgotten Pyramid entry you recently submitted which isn't showing up on the Inform system list; despite that being added when the entry was created. That's the reason I think, like...

Re: Authoring System Not Currently Showing

I've noticed that when, as an admin, you got into edit a game it often has "n/a" showing for the system rather than the system that is saved in the database.

As Alastair says, it may be a good idea to pause any edits for a period of time while the issue is looked in to.

Re: Authoring System Not Currently Showing

As I'd been saying to Jacob, it was definitely showing correctly at the weekend (I was using the systems link on each page when I was updated various entries) so we'd be looking at something that has happened since then.
