Re: Steve W. Lucas games

Ah yes, the code for both are on Tony's website... https://www.electricadventures.net/Pages/Article/58 https://www.electricadventures.net/Pages/Article/40 They were originally Spectravideo games, before making their way to the MSX. Tony seems to still be active on both Twitter and You Tube, where he...

Re: Steve W. Lucas games

I see that Alex has found another version of "Pharaoh's Curse", this time for the MSX... http://solutionarchive.com/game/id%2C9019/Pyramid.html It's very similar to the C64 version, with the minor changes such as the same plaque/scroll swap. The usual procedure would be to combine all these differen...

Re: Mixed up screenshot

I've not played either, but Jason did cover the 1980 Pyramid... https://bluerenga.blog/tag/pyramid/?order=ASC This is the 1986 Amstrad game, I believe... https://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=detail&num=3264 So it will be easy to grab a screenshot. Presumably the existing screenshot on the Amstra...

Re: Adventure Master

I expect it was better than the Gh0sterbusters game! :)

If you have it in Inform 6 then perhaps it could be adapted to be a PunyInform game? That way it could potentially get back onto the Atari.

Re: Double entry?

Can someone with the relevant admin level please grab the Einstein screenshot from this entry... http://solutionarchive.com/game/id%2C3696/Quest.html and add it to this one... http://solutionarchive.com/game/id%2C1499/Fantasy+Quest.html So that the superfluous Einstein Quest entry can be deleted. Re: Adventure Master

We already had a game in the database produced with this system, so I've also tagged it.

Re: Adventure Master

Looks interesting. I'll do some research and add details to the database. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adventure_Master https://www.retrogames.co.uk/020031/Commodore/Adventure-Master-by-CBS-Software https://www.mocagh.org/loadpage.php?getgame=advmaster-alt Definitely a very basic tool, but pretty e...

Re: Tim Hartnell and Clive Gifford's Mysterious Adventures

Clive Gifford was interviewed in the recent issue of The Classic Adventurer http://classicadventurer.co.uk/ It's a very interesting read. His young age (only 15 when he started), the fast changing nature of the computer landscape, and the hectic sounding production process make all the bugs a little...

Re: Platform of Adventuron games

Contrary to what I said earlier, some Adventuron games have been compiled to run on 8-bit platforms such as Spectrum Next. When this is the case (not very many), this should also be included as a platform. That is already the case. Adventuron games that run on platforms like the Spectrum Next or or...

Re: Platform of Adventuron games

All existing Adventuron games now have their platform listed as "browser".

Some games also have MS-DOS PC versions, so will also have retained the PC tag.

Re: Platform of Adventuron games

I'll take a look at the existing Adventuron entries, so please do not submit any system alterations for them. I'll sort them out soon. I think "Adventuron" was added as a platform when Chris himself submitted a batch of games, kind of how we have z-machine as a platform. I consider any of my Adventu...

Re: Platform of Adventuron games

(The "site feedback" section is probably the best place for threads like this) Yes, it is something we probably need to be more consistent on going forward. However, there are historical reasons why "PC" was chosen. Although Adventuron games now happily run in any browser, including on mobile device...

Re: Time Search

John Metcalf was responsible for digitising it and making it available. I've no idea why the various archives didn't add it at the time. I've flagged it up for Spectrum Computing to look at; so thanks for bringing attention to the fact the game was missing.
