New Scott Adams adventure "The Inheritance"

As some of you might know, Scott Adams has been working for some time now on a new adventure. A short time ago a facebook page for the game was opened at http://www.facebook.com/The.Inheritance.Scott.Adams.Adventure I got in contact with Mr. Adams some months ago, via his page and e-mail at http://w...

Infocom+Magnetic Scrolls and I think Mindshadow.

Re: Screenshots resolution

A few remarks: Resolutions such as 640x200 will usually end up as a 640x400, since otherwise the aspect ratio will be wildly distorted. This also applies to some extent to the 384x192 of the TRS-80. The emulator I use scales it to 512x384 for example. Some Apple II games need to be captured in 560x3...

Re: Any French Speakers on here?

Here's an ad from French magazine Tilt (March/April 1983) which lists some software for the PHC: Thanks for the advert. Just a warning: don't click on the image; the site it takes you to has adult adverts! Fortunately I wasn't reading this on my work laptop! (Gunness/Alastair, any chance of leaving...

Re: About the platforms/Japanese games

The CPC/PCW versions were released as dual disks (at least most should be, haven't tested all yet). There are minor differences because of the hardware, i.e. the PCW versions run in higher resolution.

Re: About the platforms/Japanese games

I assume the catalogue was distributed in America, where the CPC/PCW played essentially no role.

You could ask him if Oo-topos was indeed ported to the Macintosh (as it's apparently rumored) and how the Japanese ports of Starcraft came to be.

Re: About the platforms/Japanese games

I've just submitted Infocom CP/M releases based on the 1986 catalog. http://storeimg.com/out.php/t4410_Infocomreleases86ndex.jpg . I'm suggesting the deletion of the adam and msx Infocom entries, absent evidence they got their own dedicated releases. Also, some of the ports for Japanese platforms we...

Re: About the platforms/Japanese games

Hi, when looking at the Coleco Adam games list I noticed it contained Infocom adventures, I was wondering if these are genuine platform specific releases or just the CP/M versions runable on the computer. If CP/M was officially released for the Adam then any CP/M game that can run on the Adam may b...

EXL 100 (?) Thomson MO 5 and T0 7/70 (?) [ [/list] Check this out: http://dcmoto.free.fr/ At the bottom, there are info/emulator links regarding these and other French computers. The Thomson range has most games available, should be a bunch of adventures among them , e.g. Les Passagers du Vent (Pas...

Re: About the platforms/Japanese games

Hi Starscream, it's nice to see you there. :D I second the request. :) Cheers :) I have to take responsibility for this one - I added the NEC computers whilst I was researching text adventures for the Sharp MZ series. I have no knowledge about the NEC computers so would have to defer to others. Wha...

About the platforms/Japanese games

Hi, when looking at the Coleco Adam games list I noticed it contained Infocom adventures, I was wondering if these are genuine platform specific releases or just the CP/M versions runable on the computer. What is the site's policy regarding this and unofficial conversions (common on the C16/Plus 4 f...
